Not many viruses for Mac, but there are a few.

My MBP got hit before by a trojan

Most are browser based since these can infect ALL systems (including Linux) and are annoying at best.

Now that Apple is gaining popularity, there are more viruses now that affect OSX than ever before.

OSX, has a few virii as stated previously. Within the past year Apple has removed the famous statement from all ads that Mac's can't or don't get virus'.

Trojan is most common attack on OSX and the majority is through java or browser attacks, the main reason why 1) 3 yes ago apple delegated java creation and updates solely to Sun, now it's Oracle, and 2) why java nor flash is included with safari on any shipping mac machine.

There is a huge convention for jackers and hackers where the work hard from scratch in a 24hr time frame to hack windows, Linux and OSX security. Then submitted findings so that exploits can be patched.
