5.5" is getting a bit too big i think. Looks very good though - a very thin screen bezel.

Lovely big screens but with so many 5"+ phones coming out, how will they differ from each other.

The Galaxy range will sell well purely on the back of the Galaxy Brand, which how has huge numbers of followers.

The Xperia Z at least has water and dust resistance. This LG looks good, especially with the thin bezel.

Great specs (especially battery), design copied from Samsung, no USP. The lack of a stylus and custom software like Samsung will hurt the sales of this device I feel.

5.5" screen is too big IMO. Its just too big to conveniently carry in a pocket.
32 GB internal storage, Expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card

So its not expandable then? or should it say "32 GB internal storage, Expandable by up to 32 GB using a microSD card"

Thats exactly what I thought. It looks nice but so samey compared to what we have already seen. Which also proves the point that theres only so many ways a phone can look with a full face touchscreen. Apple dont think so though.

But it just looks like a Galaxy S3 in many ways. Nice specs but too big even for my big hands. We need more innovation all we are getting now is who's got the biggest screen or thinnest design. Getting boring. Only Android needs Quad Core since it lags on anything less. And as for Samsung we don't need 8 cores. I am growing bored now am quite happy being back with WP8

I think this was the plan all along with the proper multi-touch screens started by Apple (more than 2 fingers and without over the screen transisters meant to active Touch a la Palm III). I know the history of WinCE/PocketPC/PE devices I've lived through them all but non had that level of multi-touch we're all used to now.

Since now that we focused on touchscreeen its the primary focus and will continue to do so until "Isolated Voice Cognitive Recognition/Inference System" is available. What does that mean? It means that by "my" or "your" speech patterns that Navigation/Input (data access/edit/deletion/sharing)/Output (audio/visual), can be done through speech alone with 5% inaccuracy/prompt to verify vocal commands of normal speech works even in a mult-person environment (crowd) yet isolating only your voice as "signed"/"encrypted" to that device where nobody else can access/input anything on it! This would be perfect with a headset and a widescreen smartwatch.

LG Optimus G Pro battery tests are over, here are the numbers

http://blog.gsmarena.com/lg-o[....]are-over-here-are-the-numbers/

Excellent results by the Optimus G Pro, although it does seem to need further optimization, but 2013 high end smartphones should generally be hitting 50hrs and over in this test WITHOUT any power saving enabled thanks to their newer and more efficient hardware and larger batteries.

So basically the battery life is a complete fail.

3140mAh G pro battery, 2330 mAh XZ battery, and this gets what, 2h more endurance rating with only a slightly larger screen? Not to mention the XZ has battery stamina mode which will make it much better.

Also a sign of true hate for certain brands. This is 'excellent', whereas the 2h less endurance rating for Z gets a snide remark.

This will get owned by Samsung. As randomuser has said, no USP whatsoever. And it copied Samsung for design. At least the HTC One copied Sony and Apple, this copied the worst manufacturer for design. Strange.

Not so pro for a phablet.

Review here

I can't get over the dual recording, you could create some interesting little doccies with it and I like how the Notification light surrounds the Home button.

There's something else that really blew me away with this phone, can't remember what it is, PhoneArena pointed it put. In their review, will have to find it.

the same Stamina Mode that ruined the notification light for some? Stamina Mode is nothing special most Androids have power save mode and allow you to also limit the data usage of certain apps, the more I read about this "Stamina Mode" the more redundant it sounds really.
