Hi, I'm having a problem with my Sony Xperia ION , my phone says " Emergency Calls Only | No SIM inserted " even though there's a SIM inserted , and when I try to ON and OFF my phone the problem appears again .. I need help, can't use my phone to call and text . Thanks . God Bless to you.

have you tried a different sim? if that one works you need to clean yours or ask for a replacement.
if another sim is also not working you can add a piece of paper under your sim for better contact.
also no succes? get your phone to a service center.

As @hihihans has said but if all else fails with the sim card before going to a service centre try a repair install of your firmware with PCC.

Just a thought, is your sim card a micro sim or did you cut it down from a normal sim card? If it's the later then that's probably the problem and you'll need to get a proper micro sim from your network, good luck.

actually the phone reads my SIM but after 3 - 5 hours, the "Emergency call | No SIM inserted" will appear again..

as of now I inserted a new SIM, so far so good . hoping that the problem will not appear again .
