Good afternoon, my manager text me this morning asking me to come into work at 7:30 tomorrow. I think it might be to do a job that isn't in my contract, which I am not comfortable doing. Should I turn in at 7:30? And see what the job is? What do I do if I want to refuse to do it? Also can I just quit the job completely?

What`s your job.? Do you have the correct training for the task? Are you deemed as competent? If you have replied to confirm you will be there then yes go, you maybe worrying about nothing. Anybody can quit, but depending on what it is will be hard to find another?

It all depends on what job you do.
Say for example you work for Tesco, which is open 24 hours they could ask you to work any type of shift.
If you work in an office, with hours such as 9 to 5, you can ask why, but again its not out of the boundary of possible.
Do i detect a hint of issues or problems with your work ??
