It's one of the slickest promo vids I've ever seen. It really emphasises the phone features and promotes the phone as a quality product.

It also shows how it integrates with other Sony gear, such as the TV in the bar, really captures the imagination. It's no wonder it's had so many views.

Sony definitely made a great effort to make top notch device.
It will be there even after next gen Samsung and HTC announcements.
And I wish that for Sony, it looks so much better than anything else.

I am pissed about the camera button and glass on the back even more now.
And the price is sick

Doministry, Maybe Sony is playing apple. We have the most expensive Xperia Z in the world. The price is absolutely crazy. I would take better camera quality over camera button any time. Hope picture processing of previous xperias wen't straight to the dustbin. What bothers me alot is 16GB of internal memory. Simply to little for a 2013 android 4.x+ superphone. Also, theoretically, they could have launched Xperia Z even in 2012. In March we'll be getting Quad A15's in phones, far superior to Xperia Z SOC. Doministry, wait for Samsung and HTC flagships and then decide:)

The Sony white paper claims that 5 gig of the 16 gig internal memory is used for the phones firmware etc & that the other 11 gig is for the users pictures / music etc.

Anyway the white paper also states there is a micro SD card slot with up to 32 gig support.

Camera button is something what bothers me...
In real life I don't get any camera problems on Xperias
beyond typical Digital processing limitations.

But taking shots in more difficult environment without a button is just cra...p. And you won't be able to even take the autoportrait shot without it properly, what I do often.
Sh..t!

16 GB internal? That's totally enough for the system if you can expand it with micro SD.

Specs are enough for a long time I think...

And still, those guys don't dust their phones before they makes pictures of them... Heck, with the Z it would be even easier, just use some water to wash the dust off!!

I am very disappointed that it doesn't support at&t's LTE. I would like to buy this phone through at&t or open line but because of the lack of at&t LTE support, I may now have to pass and have a long wait for the next nice phone from Sony. I hope they have a top of the line phone that supports at&T LTE before the end of the year.

@Rog

Any info on an upcoming top of the line Sony phone that is compatible on at&t's LTE?

Doministry, You are absolutely right with autoportrait shots, never had a phone without camera button. 16 GB isn't enough for some SGSIII& noteII users, if sth around 12-13 gb is availalbe, then it's not enough for heave gamers, as some games can occupy 2-3 GB of that precius memory.

The H2 flagship will be available from AT&T in Q3 and is supposed to be a combination of Z/ZL.

And they deserve every single of them. It almost can't be done any better than this. Beautiful, artistic ads that are highly informative at the same time, just perfect. My hat is off to Sony.

Let's take a walk down memory lane: Smooth White, Velvet Black, Luminous Green, Volcanic Black, Black . I probably won't be the first to hold it, but Black Z, here I come.

@DACHA: I thought that Odin 2.0 and the 2H flagship will be two different phones, if I have understood correctly yesterday. Yuga, Odin, Togari, Odin 2.0 and the 2H flagship .
