No update for HTC One S is purely marketing, after all it uses S4 SoC so it's not like it can't handle it.
About S3 SoC's not being updated to 4.2.2 I've heard that too, time will tell how much truth was in those words. |

My apologies on getting the exact version number mixed up, the underlying update schedule still stands though.

I just got my Xperia Z T-mobile version. When is the projected 4.2.2 update. I don't mind doing the flash thing, actually was gonna try it tonight, but before I do, will it cause any damage that can't be revert ?
EDIT: after looking through, it seems that C6603 might work if I use the 4.2.2 update C6603 version and try to update my C6606. but I'm reconsider whether I want to do that or not....
btw, 4.2.2 should be able use a 64GB MicroSDXC, correct? I have a Sandisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC I'd been using for my Xperia TX and now Z. fyi, it works great, only problem is that the software only reads like a 32GB (i.e. 29 GB access), so if you ever fill it pass the 29.XX GB mark, then you can access the files via explorer, but it's still there and the music, photos and video are all there and I can watch it via app. I just can't open the card and manually browse through the ext_sd (sdcard1). does the 4.2.2, which some say is compatible with the 64GB, no longer have this issue?

Z didn't make fun anymore... Have switched to MEGA 6.3. Couldn't wait for Ultra... Always same problems with SONY... MEGA feels in performance and touch 100x better than Z. It has only dual core. And don't ask battery... It hurts so much that SONY can't do the same. I'm sorry. I wanna try Ultra later maybe but for what???

Got this phone now.
I'm pretty sure I got the inferior LCD panel, but it's not bad, just not great, so I'm happy. Also, I found the whites to be yellowish, but a quick bluening of the white balance solved that pretty good. ^^
I was afraid it was going to burn my hands, but I actually find it to (mostly) be a cooler device than the Nexus 4 I was using before, so that's great, too.
So, yay for the Z!
Currently NExus 4, but want Xperia ZR. |

Not yet. I'm still waiting for them to be updated OTA
Btw...is anybody facing an issue with stuck pixels? I've got 14-15 odd stuck pixels..they're like 2-3 lines on the screen. They're not black so they're not dead pixels. But on a white background, they're clearly visible. Now I know this phone has a lot of pixels but now that I know they're they're there, it feels kind of crap. You pay through your nose so the least you expect is some quality. I checked on my friend's Samsung note 2 and he doesn't have this issue.
Do you think I should take it to the service center?

I'd take it back if I were you. Sounds like a warranty repair to me.

14 - 15 !?
A single ONE dead or stuck pixel would drive me nuts, to the point i'd buy a new phone or if still under warranty send the current one back. But 15 !? That would be a complete repair job for me. How on earth you have the patience to use a phone with that many, you must be blessed !

Anyone uses the OEM Sony Charging Dock DK26? I bought a cheap charging dock that is NOT Sony brand. it charges slowly in 7 hours, it still doesn't charge to full. How is the OEM?

@Big_D
I use the Sony branded official charging station. I think the charging speed would depend on the power adapter you use with it. I use the one that came with the handset rated at 850mah and it seems to take a couple hours to charge but it does charge to full and isn't as long as 7 hours at most it's 2-3.
I'd try a different power brick, although when I was down in our electronics markets here in Beijing, I chatted to a guy about cheap Chinese ones and the Sony original. He seemed to think that the very cheap Chinese ones (costing ~4 GBP) can be dangerous to the device and burn it out, the mid-range 3rd party ones (~10 GBP) shouldn't burn out the phone but could scratch the back easily and the originals are the best but most expensive.
From personal experience I have an area on the back of the phone where the stand has been scratching my phone. Sucks a bit but I can live with it. At least the front is still crispy clean.

Your old charger should have a print on it stating the output voltage and current. When buying a new one, always ensure it is capable of outputting same voltage and at least as high output current as your old charger (higher output current does not matter). The lower the output current from a charger is, the slower will the charging be.
Also, be aware if you buy a cheap knock of from the net the stated output current may be wrong (there is a reason why they are cheap).
