The verge gives a 7 for XZ design

And it is lower than what they gave for s3

I weep for the humanity.

@Indiandawg

Post us a screen shot of what you get in Settings > Apps > [any downloaded app]

It should have the option there for 'Move to internal storage'.

I haven't looked at Z closely in person but I suspect it runs the memory very similar to the way TX does which is that apps can be moved to the 'internal storage' which is NOT the removable microSD card but is what remains of the internal storage after it is partitioned for the ROM and other overheads (on TX this is ~9GB free user space).

You cannot send apps to the removable microSD at all, only to the internal storage or the phone/system memory.

If you look through a file browser the unremovable 'internal memory' will be named sdcard and the removable microSD will be ext_card.

All apps will default their data to sdcard unless otherwise set in the settings of each app (if the setting exists in that particular app). This means, Google Play Music will download to sdcard, titanium will backup to sdcard, saved game data will be stored to sdcard.

At least, this is how it is on TX.

^It seems the Asian region got the better of the two displays. Seriously, I thought the JDI display would be better since it's been developed by three of the Japanese's best and that includes Sony.

As you see there's no move to internal or move to SD

Again there's no option to move to internal or to SD

As you see there's total of 12GB given to user with the total internal memory of 16GB.

Do I format? As in Erase SD from XZ?

Japan Display Inc., not sure why it's labeled JDC here.

@Indiandawg

It looks like memory is handled differently to on TX then.

Could you show us a shot of Settings > Storage ?

I think it looks like apps are now installed straight to the internal memory judging by those screen shots so there's no need to move apps now.

Indiandawg, Ricky D and Del

Thats EXACTLY how memory is handled in JB, Samsung built the GS3 the same way even on ICS, I wondered why as both it and my GS2 were on ICS4.0.4 when I got it, I then discovered that Google changed how Android handles memory.

This could explain why Samsung kept delaying the GS2 JB update, and it could partly be the reason why Sony are taking forever to update the 2012 range, the update to JB isn't so smooth for manufacturers.
