Indian Dog ... are you sure that's the T68i vs the Ericsson T68m? Both had SonyEricsson branding on it similar to th energy logo on Xperia S/SL/T/TX.

They were back then, but not by todays standards.
The thing is, like Bonovox / Shaun said, we look back at phones like these with great fondness because its nostalgia, they were our first few phones. Just like childhood toys, our first bikes, games consoles etc.
Today, because we get all these brilliant phones with so many great features as standard, we take them for granted.
By todays standards, a R520m is a poor phone.

I've owned this device before. I'm more than 100% sure this is T68i.

I owned both, this is the T68i.
No  ever had the liquid energy logo found on  and current Sony phones. This is the T68m

My fav design from was my T28. Limited features aside, that was a beautifully elegant phone for its time.
From , my fav was my Xperia ray. I felt that was very similar to the T28 in terms of it's sleek elegance.
The Xperia P is my current fav from Sony, but there's something lost in it's size. Feels more practical than elegant. Unfortunately, it's the smallest performance (if you can even call it that) phone out now. Everything smaller has way less specs, and are all plastic.
If Sony continues the ray sometime in the future, that's gonna be my next phone.

btw I mentioned Sony phones had liquid energy logo (:SE:) on Xperia S/P/U phones. Not Ericsson.
:e: T36m ... this is THE only phone that I've purchased 3 times!
- first stolen.
- second dropped in snow in a drain; I was able to fish it out but battery/circuitry was dead.
- lasted 2yrs, even after T68m/i debuted along with many other colour-screen phones and non-protruding antennae.
This phone gave me just over 6hrs of talk time - a crucial feature when I was in the hospital for 30days and able to speak with my ex and our kids! This mean worlds to me then!! Also this had incredibly accurate and reliable PIM over SyncML which I used on Novell's free web-based MyRealbox.com site (email inclusive: IMAP/POP3). Funny enough Esato helped me learn and understand these protocols, not school lol.
It was also a very super slim phone even by today's standards!! 
I loved the greyscale wallpapers offered on Esato, the ringtones as well (8-bit).
Never once had a problem with the hardware: flip-cover or otherwise - this was HUGE because movable parts where the main issue on so many competitors phones.
T18z was my second phone, T36m was my 3rd/4th I think. Sony on Clearnet (now Telus Mobility) was my first. Jog wheel lust.
Ok back to the modern world.

I still have my P1i and P910i in perfect working conditions. I actually still use the P1i as my primary phone.
Loved my T610i and K700i. I also still have an Ericsson GH688 (working but can't find batteries anymore) and the R320 which sadly died after ten years of existence.
I miss seeing phones like the T650i and the K850i, the latter being a marvel in design in my opinion. Sadly, it had more issues than any Sony Ericsson phone.
Then there was the smartphone of all smartphone that was destroyed by SE- the mighty P990i. So far ahead of the competition when announced that it shook the mobile phone industry only to be let down by postponements and buggy software and lack of RAM.
Man, those were the days.

For sentimental reasons, I still own a W705. I use it nowadays only as my Walkman/music player when hitting the gym. But it's very pocketable and has great audio quality. iPhone's too bulky to carry around while working out.

I still have my T610 and W880i. Sadly, the W880i which i let my sister borrow a couple of years ago is in very poor condition. Due to her.
I did have a T68i for a short period of time, but quickly sold it. I also had a P900 which i bought and then forced the seller to give me a refund when he reported it stolen.
The one thing i miss about days of old were the blinking LED lights of the P900 and T68i. Im not sure why we needed phones with blinking LEDs just to show we have coverage and / or Bluetooth was switched on or off though.

Yeah, the W800i was great, as was the W810i and the K-series: K750i, K800i, K810i, we've had them all, still have a few of them, nostalgia , also P990i, P1i, C905i and Satio.
Can't say I miss SE from the later years, though, never been interested in buying any of the Xperias.
