My old 710 has a 1300 mAh battery and lasts me a day easily; I can't imagine this faring any worse in that department since the S4 is a pretty damn efficient chip.

The 710 battery is poor imo. But its ok if you're not a heavy smartphone user which my mother isnt. She has one i bought for her birthday.

Well done to Nokia. I really truely hope they make a comeback now with WP8. Gorgeous phones. They make Android look drab and colourless !

That's probably why I didn't have any issues with the battery life; I'm not exactly a power user.

But, at the same time, the 710 and 620 aren't targeted towards power users, either...

But then what's the point in a dual core processor etc?? If I had any smartphone I would want a larger battery than this.

Because Microsoft requires a Qualcomm S4 processor for Windows Phone 8 devices.
