I was under the impression that SE created that bump at the back of the C905 to reduce the protrusion, but it does seem to be the cover that created it. Either way, that would be a nice way to design a large camera unit phone as the C905 felt great in hand.

No, it protrudes slightly; there's a wavy bump where the camera module is (although there is a chance that this has more do with the lens cover than it does the camera itself).
OIS is practical in general since you'll get up to two extra stops of light than you otherwise would. There are plenty of wide and normal lenses with OIS (Nikon's 16-35/4 VR FX, for instance). |

@lewko I agree with you 80% of the way, BUT N95? Are you having a laugh? That phone almost single handedly signaled the end of Nokia's reign as number 1 handset manufacturer. It was buggy, slow, big, ugly ad the camera was shite. And the main 'problem' that causes the big battery drain in modern handsets is the screen. They're bigger, brighter, clearer and more pixel dense than ever before and the battery technology hasn't improved so the size has to scale too.

C905 camera lens cover was flush to the surface of the back, but it's true the phone had a slight curve to accomodate the module's thickness but still it's not as conspicuous as the Satio's camera

N95 was an example.. to the fact that even such a shitty phone can shoot pictures like iphone 4 or Xperia P. You would be surprised.
It is still good usable for every sms/email/status check update/ calculation, pdf opening task ... not that convenient but usable. With Satio it is even convenient....
Battery drain - no it is not the screen... it is the Data + crappy software using it all the time.... just try to turn of data for a halfy day and read a book, or watch a video, it will not drain your battery that much at all. A friend of mine watched a 720p movie on Xperia T in flight mode for a 2,5 hours flight, draining its battery by 15 - 25 %... So no... it is not the display as they try to tell you..  |

Haven't got any info on One Sony tablet except S800. It may have a 2K Triluminos screen. Won't be 7 inches but around 10 inches from what I've heard. And may come out in 2014.
Ray 3 is scheduled for this year, yes.

I guess Honami won't have flat back. Flat back would mean consistent 13-14mm thickness. That won't be ergonomic.

back in the days a 18mm phone is considered slim and anything thicker were bricks, if a thicker chassis could warrant a larger battery and other goodies such as Xenon flash and lens cover I'd pick that in the blink of an eye, what's the point owning an ultra slim phone only to place it on a thick leather or silicon jacket for protection

From what I have heard it will be over 10" with a 2K screen and should be out in late Q1 next year. |

If Honami is to have super-enhanced imaging capabilities then I'd like Sony to return to the Dual-Front designs of the C905 / Satio. Although Sammy might just beat them to it.

Regarding PS4: TBH, I don't know, if I'm up with the next Xbox. Last time I compared the two, the Xbox was capable of 1.23 TFLOPS, while the PS was capable of 1.84 TFLOPS. Please correct me, if I am wrong.
Anyway, I think SCE is very well positioned for the future. Getting Mark Cerny on the job as lead architect for the PS4 was a stroke of genius. Let us not forget Shuhei Yoshida and above all Kaz.
Dat 8GB of GDDR5 *drool*, PS4/Vita remote play, cloud gaming (Gaikai), instant recording, their first party software development studios (Polyphony Digital, Naughty Dog, SCE Santa Monica Studio, Sucker Punch Productions, Media Molecule) and of course, a much friendlier console for devs (x86 architecture). Everything sounds perfect to me so far.
Also, the launch lineup is apparantly going to be stronger than the previous generations. But let us wait until after E3...
