@randomuser:
In the last years of Sony Ericsson you may have right that the slightly outdated hardware was one of the reasons of the reasonable price. And I'm not saying that Sony not to correspond the exaggerated trend of large sreen phones (which inevitably results not pocket friendly phones at all, which cannot be operated with one hand), but I'm just shocked that in 2013 the L was the smallest and lightest phone of Sony with a 4,3 inch screen and 137 g (and excepting the 3,5 inch low end models -which are below the whole 2011 range- in the last one year just the J was "smaller" than L, but this phone is quite entry level without being compact). I can state that I don't need a phone heavier than 115-120 g and longer than 115-120 mm (even if I watch some episodes of series on my phone's screen).
I would be completely happy with a 3,5" screen phone (or maximum 4") with FWVGA/qHD screen, 8-12 mp camera, Xenon flash, dual-core processor, Android >= 4.1, 1 GB RAM and customisable themes below 115-120 g, and 115-120 mm. That would be a perfect middle class phone for ~350 euro, at least for me, but I think not I'm the only.
In my opinion the main idea of cameraphones is that you can bring wherever you want and it's more accessible and compact than compact digital cameras. Whereas the last smartphones are tending to be larger and heavier than -for example a T series Cyber-shot, then the whole cameraphone concept becomes meaningless -which was such a great innovation between 2005-2009, and I still miss my C901's great camera capabilities (sometimes it's size and keys too).

Hungry for more rumours/possibly true specs of Honami. Any XR3 info please?

P.S. Will it be likely that it will release with Android 4.3 ? ( http://www.knowyourmobile.com[....]ly-bean-arriving-august-latest and also http://www.androidbeat.com/20[....]diction-android-4-3-new-nexus/ ) ?

me too.~~ as June is coming near, I hope we get to receive more specs and ESPECIALLY DESIGN.
I care more about i1's design than its final specs. (im sure the specs are already GREAT!~~).
Also I hope it will have a charding dock as well. NOT requiring me to open flaps everytime I have to charge is a big plus for me, as Xperia S user for more than 1 year already~~~~

You don't need to "ask" for rumors. If someone gets rumors they will obviously post here.

I read somewhere that the next version of Android will allow OEMs to update to the next version in a matter of weeks instead of months at it has been until now... Is this true?
I also read that a number of S800 devices will be announced by OEMs next month... Is Sony one of them?

I guess the first manufacturers with s800 would be LG and some Chinese companies.

Honami's size and weight would be huge for me, after using Xperia ray. I wouldn't want more than 1-1.5 cm length in plus and more than 15 g in plus to this size. A price near 1000$ would be quite costly -the half of that sum would be payed for that it's Sony, just for the brand, and that was not the case in the time of SonyEricsson. And without a Xenon flash I wouldn't expect any groundbraking improvement of the camera, because they can use any technology, you won't be able to make a good shot in a club for example.

Thats not really true. Xperia Z was also rumoured to be around 1000$ and it launched somewhere around 650$. Which is in line with and infact lower than some of the previous SE flagships that I have owned. I doubt honami will be priced anywhere near 1000$. Sony is trying to be competitive now and As for size, Flagships will have bigger screens than ray due to the current trends and demands. I was also afraid to move to a bigger phone than desire, one of the reasons why I got T but now even Z is natural to hold for me... For me, 3.5" is the minimum for a touchscreen phone to be an efficient smartphone.

Having owned the Ray for 20 months now, I can say that 3.3 inches at a 16:9 aspect ratio, is far, far too small for my needs. Typing is ridiculously difficult in portrait. Its a damn nice looking phone, but for me 4-inches at 16:9 is the minimum.

I can't speak for -XYZ but I myself got the X10 mini as my first smartphone and I loved it! I had no smartphone habits, did not realize the potential and you didn't get nearly as much out of a large phone back then as you get now.

Today, with a 4" Xperia P I can't even imagine going back to that tiny 2.55" screen. And I'm probably getting the Togari if I'll be able to fit it in my hand and pocket. I'm probably on the phone more than on the laptop now, so carrying something larger around is more viable.

Same thing for me, except I had a X10 Mini Pro before and went to an S...

I just can't use anything smaller than 4.3 inch... A 5 inch on S body size (maybe a bit bigger is also okay) would be perfect...
I don't get people. Never Have, never will.

Because it fulfilled my needs at the time. At the time, I needed the phone for calls/texts and emails at most. Now I surf the web all the time. My needs changed and so I need a bigger phone. I'm not saying the phone was bad, because it isn't (though mine has developed a fault in its heat-sink and overheats way too often), it merely no longer fulfills my needs.

Ooooh, that sounds absolutely excellent. As long as they can get the overall body to be similar to, or slightly smaller than the SGS3, then its definitely my next phone.
