i just noticed something a little worrying in your first link
for Z1 they have specified microSD support while for Z1f they have not mentioned it, I really hope that this is just something they forgot to write about but is actually there! |

The specs look identical except if you look at the second table (under IP certification) the O/O for the Z1 differs from the -/O for the Z1f, there's also a - on the row underneath it while the Z1 has an O. I don't know what it means but I'm guessing one of them could be MicroSD card slot.
If Z1f has 16GB for the Japanese version then I'm hoping they don't reduce it for (possible) international version to 8GB like they did for ZR especially if it doesn't have a MicroSD card slot.

Only IR blaster and full seg tv tuners are missing on the F.
Everything else seems the same except screen size. There is no mention about sd card slot. I would be extremely surprized if the F didn't have it. |

Indian Esato users, do you guys watch Gadget Guru on NDTV? We get NDTV down here, as I type this they are showing a Z1 vs G2 vs Lumia 1020 review, must say this has to be the most well informed gadget show I've ever seen, I watch a few gadget shows such as BBC Click, Bloomberg West, and a local one known as Tech Report on ENCA, none seem to be as knowledgeable as Gadget Guru, they are talking the sort of technical details you'd see in forums, and not in a normal gadget show who usually keep things a bit too simple.

Taiwan panel makers see steady smartphone panel orders from Sony
Taiwan panel makers are seeing steady handset panel orders from Sony Mobile for use in both the mid-range and high-end smartphones.
Sony is reportedly allocating some high-end panel orders to AU Optronics (AUO) for 5- and 6.5-inch units, while Innolux and Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) are receiving orders for panels used in mid-range units. AUO is also supplying a large volume of smartphone panels for use in Sony mid-range smartphones.
Japan-based JDI meanwhile is expected to supply Sony most of its high-end handset panel demand in 2013.
Sony aims to ship 42 million smartphones in 2013 followed by 65 million in 2014.

All we can do right now is wait. And wait while there are no rumors or leaks coming out. |
