He he, if you read well, you should recon i did not say this, I said Microsoft is killing the PC industry (and gave my reasons).
Re ipad and tablets, I said and I maintain tablets are hurting the PC industry. Not that tablets are as powerfull as PCs, but they are powerfull enough for a lot of people that used to buy PCs to do internet, emails and watch youtube, etc... because nothing else was available. All of a sudden, 80% of people realise they do not need a PC, MS office, etc...

Re the Vaio tap 11, again it looks like a fine product, and I do not want to dismiss what it can do.
But it just sports an OS people are not buying, this is quite of an earthquake in the whole wintel industry.

yeah, you are right. I misunderstood your statement. Sorry for that. I agree that ipads/androids are hurting PC industry by taking a portion of their market share.

I meant one flagship per year on the same size. 4.x is not going to be Z2

Yes, you are right, one flagship per year plus its mini and its mega aka Ultra

and no more 6-monthly refresh handsets?

does that mean the end of the other lines? i.e. we will see 3 handsets per year, no more no less? (excluding regional variants for frequency bands etc)

my guess for the coming years probably:
CES: z mini line
somewhere between: z ultra line
IFA: z line

i wonder if sony also plans to introduce a flagship at the galaxy note screen size or make the ultra a bit more pocket friendly.

that should end/reduce the wait or damage from Z2 rumour on Z1 sales since Z2 is one year away.

why would there no be 6 month refreshes? They should do as many refreshes as they can... while phone is fresh, price is high... 5-6 months later, price is much lower as something newer came out.

You will see 30 handsets per year, if Sony wants to become big like Samsung.

@ razec & RaMu

Before you open the new 2014 rumours thread, we/you should make some new rules to keep the thread clean.
It's not okay what happen here last weeks and months. Too much spam, double posting, unnecessary quotes etc...
Maybe also a mod should keep his eye on it, what we have missed in this thread...

I did check regular on this thread and noticed a lot of quotes and some double postings but when ignorance turns into trolling or spamming is hard to define.

You guys aren't the only ones who hate unnecessary quotes...*

*Disclaimer - this was a joke, it's near the end of the thread and I've always wanted to double-quote on my phone - please don't hurt me...
