Along with medium, big and bigger goes slightly different functions to suit what Sony believe will be important to the person who would want to buy that particular size. It's not just a case of grabbing the corner, stretching and 'save as'.
True. But only ever so slight changes.
I like the designs of the Z family, reminds me of SE C901 alot. But i dont understand why so big!? Impossible to fit in my pockets at least.
Ray 3 cant come soon enough. |

Me too - if there was any successor then the Xperia SX would be it.

Xperia V fits better to be Ray
a phone with flagship hardware and smaller screen
Arc : Ray
T : V
Honami : Ray 3

OT
Is TFT really bad? I thought it handles motion better than IPS, it has better luminance than amoled and its much cheapr but Cnet recently posted an article saying that tft is not as good as ips. I don't know what color accuracy has to do with tft. |

Is it me or does the supposed leaked render of the Honami look very similar to the Sony Xperia C670X mentioned many months ago?
Supposed Honami Render (Above)
Sony Xperia C670X (Above)
EDIT: out of interest, GSMarena has now put the Honami into its 'Rumour Mill' list of phones: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_i1-5596.php

There's no strong evidences C670X exist and that small picture is a render phone is in EVERY Xperia JB user start up guide.

Then Cnet is dumb as shit, I don't get it why every tech related site on the internet can't even get the simplest of facts straight
Sorry to sound so harsh, but I can't hear it anymore, that TFT could be better or worse than IPS.
This just makes no sense.
TFT stands for thin-film transistor, and these are needed in many displaytechnologies like LCDs and also OLED-Displays, TFT isn't a type of a display, it is part of an LC-Display or OLED-Screen.
Liquid crystal displays (lcd) as a displaytype are also used in simple casio calculators.
Therefore you can only say that (even though it's technical wrong) TFTs can be found on better LCDs (a calculator also with an LCD uses no TFTs). And quite every Smartphone has a "TFT-Display", yes also the iPhone, the HTC One and so on. But remember that is technically wrong!
IPS is more or less just a trademark (from Hitachi) for a better display than one with twisted nematic technology (TN), IPS display from other manufactors have other names (e.g. SuperLCD, IPS+, PLS, and so on).
Conclusion:
An active-matrix LCD (TFT-LCD) is better than a normal LCD, and is at the moment very common.
An IPS-Display is superior to a TN-Display, but both ARE TFT-LCDs, and there are different names for more or less the same technology (IPS).
The wiki article gives you a good overview:

Is that something new? I mean prior to that, they compared Xperia S and iphone 4s camera before and claimed the iphone has better dynamic range when in fact HDR on iphone was just turned on, and S hasn't. they review cameras without proper tests, are renowned Canikon fanboys and Sony alpha bashers and are one of the worst tech review sites in the internet in existence, though I used to hang with their sites and community forums during pre-iPhone years

Nightwing, if you're wondering why nobody responds. It has been said ages ago, the render you are reffering to is a standard Xperia render. Found in the Update Center app of Sony for example. Has NOTHING to do with a phone...
OH MY GOD NIGHTWING!!
Don't be so annoying, you keep reposting your shit, and not even reading the posts!!!!! |
