^do you know where there are pics of these accessories?

@anyone - if you have an XV with the magnetic lenses, please share

I have no photos but I managed to find a description of it.

Anyway I got mine from a Sony Centre during the launch day, so I received the free gift of a Sony external charger (2000mAh) and mini exchangeable lens (1x telephoto lens, 1x wide angle).

-Not tried the charger yet. So I am not sure how much does it give the phone. I am hoping a full charge within an hour or so.

- Lens are very innovative.
What it does is that it works like a magnet. Put a magnetic ring around the phone back-facing lens and another onto the provided lens, and they just click!
Somehow, shot quality seem to be affected once the lens are on, noticeable grains on the photo taken. I used it in the void deck at night, so lighting might a factor affecting the overall quality.

^Well that would explain the metallic ring around the lens!

Care to share images of magnetic lens [can you ask your source]? I searched google and never found any Xperia phone with such type of lens.

Wouldn't that be, because no Xperia phone until now has actually had one?

Therefore if honami is really camera centric, the on the edge of the camera lens SHOULD have metallic ring around it to magnetically connect to the lens accessories.

so people on the twittersphere seem to think Honami will be announced on july 4th..

i tried to trace it to an original source, but didn't get anywhere. i'm gonna guess someone somewhere got it form this forum and then it spread? hehe..

it would be nice if its 4th of july.. that would be a pleasant surprise

I think it does make sense for Sony to unveil Honami on 4th July. Think about it, if there were a device that is just different from the current Xperia Z in terms of the CPU, why would Sony hold an announcement event for that? Isn't it just too small for an announcement, which is supposed to reveal something exciting and really new? Samsung did not hold an event for revealing the Galaxy S4 LTE-A also.

So, I am really excited about the 4th July. Honami, my dear, I am coming for you!

Who said 4th of July would not be a big event to announce Z2? there'll be fireworks display and celebration in many parts of the US

at this point, I think benefit of S800 is not just speed, but mainly power saving.

I've got an off question to you all: You're mostly located in Europe and Asia, as far as I can see... Most posts happens when I'm sleeping, as I'm on GMT -3 (Brazil).
