Wow, honami's dimension is disappointing! I really thought it would be similar to XPeria ZL. I am definitely not getting this device. Iphone 5s will get my money.
I might have some good news for you if my source approves the share. Stand by.
@litoni; thank you for the confirmation.

indeed the noise processing is much much better than before!
i'm guessing you took that from the RX100II samples?

@cu015170 - you'll get over it. hasn't been a xenon flash on a sony phone in awhile and you survived just fine.
Yeah, there hasn't been a Sony phone with decent screen in a while too, but shall we get used to it? Honami was supposed to compete with Nokia camera flagships, without xenon flash such a competition is lost from the very begining.

I am actually not interested in Ray 3. So if that's what you are talking about, I dont see a reason why the device would be worth waiting for.
I can take the a little bit of added thickness but not the width and length. |

@admad - um.. my xperia S has an amazing screen. and that was just last year. T/TL's have amazing screens from what i've heard as well. just because the Z screens have had some issues due to screen lottery or whatever, doesn't make every other sony phone before it have a crappy display.
honami is "supposed" to be a lot of things. but it's all based on rumor and speculation. there was never any real information that said honami is gonna be direct competition for nokia camera flagships.. so, having a xenon is not really necessary. besides. i'd rather have an all around beast that has a great camera than a fantastic camera phone that is fairly meh in other departments.
@nodar - they've already said a million times.. 5" screen.. no info on bionz, and SINGLE LED.

^agree with you moogoo.
What Sony has to avoid is making Honami a "niche" product. How would people get to know their technology if the device is not intended for mainstream?
And also, how come Xperia SP has a better front design than Xperia Z. I really love LED strip at the bottom of the screen. The rumoured phone rendered with speakers at the front is really cool. It gives an added appeal to the front of the phone.

Err yes.. by using Nokia smart-cameraphones instead, and by the looks of it, I will have to stick to that same strategy.
I was going to buy the Honami because of the water proof thing, but without a xenon flash.. not really worth the upgrade from the 808. |

Hmm...
What's it made of?
And why is the sensor and lens so small? Have our "Sources" been so very wrong with what they've been saying? |

I can't possibly imagine how by adding a xenon flash it would make the phone "meh" in other departments, can You explain? |
