Most phones get a little warm and also when held in warm hands too. As for battery it will drain fast before you first start conditioning the battery

Actually it doesn't due to resolution problems, should be a quick fix but no one at Spotify seems to care
But the more I use Nokia music the more I like it, helps one discover new songs

A lot to get used to after android but it's intuitive so it shouldn't be a problem.
First thoughts, the bad first: Just a tiny bit too big for my hands, it gets warm and the battery drain quite fast (I have

Thanks for the pics! They are trying hard... I really hope this works out for them, but I still think that even if does they need to downsize quite a bit to return back to profitability. |

Steve Litchfield has reviewed the phone: Smartphone Show 187
He points out some nice additions to WP8 and the 920 but overall it still lacks many functions i'd need and says the camera isnt as good as the 808 or N8. Well we all knew that anyway.

The heat and battery issues the 920 is facing cant simply be brushed off as normal, there's clearly something wrong. I haven't really bothered to read much about WP8 or the 920 much as neither interest me, but i have come across a huge flood of complaints about these issues on every forum and blog i read, i generally skim over news about WP and its devices but i have noticed quite a tremendous recurrence of reports about both heat and battery drain, both of them happening while the phone is on stand by, which just isn't normal at all. Hopefully Nokia has a fix on the way. I understand that when a phone is new you may face quick batt drain and some heat due to heavy usage and setting up, but when people who've had theirs for a few weeks are still facing these issues then there's clearly something very wrong.

If the issues are present on all WP8 devices surely its an OS problem ? i hear the 8X from HTC has the same issues.

Coud someone explain to me why my 920 doesn't drain battery and doesn't get extremely hot then?

True,Nokia & MS are aware of the issue of NFC causing this issue so I read on WP Central. They are already looking into this. And MS are already releasing an update to stop WP8 devices rebooting. It's just early bugs & Nokia as always they deliver with updates. But I will also say most phones I have owned get a little bit warm. If you think about it a phone having 2 or 4 cores and many other chips with a battery too,it is bound to get a little warm. If it is over heating and rebooting then something is wrong. If it is warm to a little bit hot(mostly happens whilst charging and in use)& it does not affect performance then it is fine. Any heat inside those electronics has to go somewhere. Think of it as a tiny computer but without the cooling fan I had the GS3 get a little hot in use mainly when plugged in & in use. Everyone is jumping around thinking oh gosh this is so terrible Nokia is gonna fall apart cos of a few software issues. Relax. Lumia 800 had battery issues early on then was fixed in an update.

After a day usage :
I have not noticed through out the day any problem with it getting warm.
The battery had once i plugged it in just a few minutes ago about 20% left. So that would be about 11 hours.
I haven't used much today though so it better get longer after some usage.
Signed up for Xbox music pass today as well, free the first month
Its quite good actually but i miss my Spotify playlists...
Overall, I am very pleased I chose the 920
