Who ever said it needed Quad core though??? The S4 Krait CPU in the 920 has an architecture closer to A15 making it more powerful in some aspects than the current A9 based quad cores so that is not the issue at all here, many current androids from mid to high end are using that chip to.
The issue here is that No.1 People were expecting a mind blowing camera with the sort of sampling tech we saw in the 808PV, so we expected something like a 30MP Camera that samples images down to 8MP to give them great detail, like in the 808, what we got was a good camera that isn't a great deal better than GS3 and iPhone4S, and is NOWHERE NEAR as good as the 808's camera.
No.2 This phone is incredibly important to nokia, and the WP eco system, its much like how the Galaxy S and Nexus phones are important for Android, and needs to be not just the same as the competitors but far ahead of them, but its not. That's what makes it underwhelming.

What sets the Moto's apart from the competition is their HUGE batteries, no smartphone right now will match either one of them, the RAZR HD packs a huge 2500mAh battle, the RAZR MAXX HD packs an even bigger 3300mAh battle, both come with metal+Kevlar bodies, yet they manage to be thinner and lighter than the 920, now that's quite feat on its own, and if I'm not mistaken they maybe splash and dust resistant to? See what I mean?

Yep, investors and analysts not at all impressed.
Interestingly enough Google's shares have shot up to $699per share the last 24hours, Microsoft's have been up and down, i havent paid much attention to Nokia, last i checked they were bouncing between a paltry $1.75-2.40per share, to think they were once up at $40per share in the days of the great N95, N82, E71 and E90, i still look at those phones with more excitement than i do with their Lumia range.

REALLY?! Maps is ALL Nokia's work and its licenced to Microsoft and featured on ALL devices using WP8 now. certain mapping functions that Nokia has improved upon recently are unique still to Nokia's devices. Microsofts BING is a joke compared to Nokia's mapping prowess (by a company they purchased some 8yrs ago I believe).

1 the rock in front of that girls right foot looks like its fake; made out of styrofoam (like Matrix gun shoot-out scene in the building lobby with security guards). Also look at the sky ... why is it all a greyish-white?! Looks like a movie set backdrop. Unless something with the chip is doing oddness via algorithmic adjusting to the sky it looks very strange.
I think Nokia hit a home run on these devices: HSPA+, WLAN (b/g/n/a; seemingly dual-band support tho I'm unsure), great virtual reality implementation in camera, S4 cpu WOW and we thought only Samsung could do this with their unnannounced WP8 device. WP8 is going to take 3rd place and pick-up a LOT of sales this year with Nokia. However I honestly had this plastic shell (not very Green for environment) just looks like fisher price made their WP phones. In time a new design will emerge. Will I buy it? No but that is MY prerogative.

Are you f*cking kidding me, the 2012 Xperias have one of the worst cameras out there, even the 2011 Xperias do it better, not to mention that Samsung and Nokia are miles ahead in terms of photo quality... But I still think Lumia 920 won't beat 808.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site | |
