Nokia isn’t the only company facing trouble, with HTC receiving a battering from Apple and Samsung in smartphone sales. The company has tried to streamline its product line, but consumers still seem to be turning to the Galaxy S line as well as the iPhone. Bloomberg reports that Peter Chou, CEO of HTC, has sent out a email designed to rally employees, describing how the company needs to get to grips with the current situation.
In the email, Chou lays out how the company needs to “kill bureaucracy” while improving communication, going on to say, “We have people in meeting[s] and talking all the time but without decision, strategic direction or sense of urgency. Bureaucracy crept in without clear ownership. We agreed to do something but we either didn’t do it or executed it loosely.”

I will bet against HTC coming back, I just don't see a way back for them.

I hope they do comeback, they seemed unstoppable up until last year, that Evo 3D ruined them, they had invested a lot into 3D it seems and it failed, BADLY, LG seem to have made the same mistake, luckily their LTE phones are doing well for them.

If they want to come back its more than the phones that need to be improved, customer service needs a big kick up the arse to

And they have just announced their new Windows 8 handsets. They look very Lumia like with bright colours. I like them too

I like them really funky phones with great specs. The front facing camera even does 1080p video. At least the dust days behind the screen has gone with HTC. They now have no air gap between screen and glass. I still prefer Nokia Lumia Windows 8 but these are good. Weighing it up Nokia would have better camera, more apps whilst HTC would have Beats Audio

When I was in Malaysia and Singapore, I saw that everyone has a phone with a massive screen. Rush hour on the Singapore metro is when you'll see everyone with a Galaxy Note. A friend went to China and saw the same thing. The screen does look amazing, very bright display. |

Yes it does and HTC screens have also improved too. Though as it's a thin phone the battery is not really very large for powering quad core and a full HD display. When you think about it,it's like carrying a miniture HD tv

Htc J should have been globally announced! Since the phone is longer they could have put in a larger battery. But it seems htc will always skimp out on battery!

Lol, why is there always atleast one major drawback with HTCs???
HTC J sounded great, until i saw the battery and region availability, ffs HTC!!
Hopefully they'll introduce the global version of this at MWC2013 with a bigger battery.
