There is no way to set that, to my knowledge. I REALLY hope that will change in the future, though. |

You could always try deleting the inbuilt browser with filemanager, and put opera on its place. I haven't had the guts to try yet, but maybe one day. |

Good idea! Although, the Opera browser is not capable of displaying WAP sites whereas the oem browser is.

Default browser cannot be deleted since it is in the ROM...

Surely there must be a way to erase it. I've erased the games (chess and the cardgame) on my p800, it shouldn't be harder to get rid of the browser.
But still I might keep it, I like it better than opera on wap. |

There's no point in deleting the built-in browser because it's installed in the ROM memory, so even if you delete it, you can't use that space to install anything else.

hi! what do you mean by a default browser? you can put the opera icon in a place of built in browsers icon... Opera maybe can work with wap pages but not trough wap access point... It needs Internet APN. Regards! Peter

The games were not in the ROM. Anything listed in the uninstall list in Applications are not in the ROM. Since the default browser is not listed in the uninstall list, it resides in the ROM and cannot be uninstalled. |

yeah.. i think the only way for Opera to replace the default browser is if SE makes it so in their next firmware upgrade. Imight be a possibility though so just wait and see.
