Thank you God that Italy won over England. England played absolut boring fotball and didnt deserve to win the penalties.

Pirlo..... Best player yet in this tournament.
Grazie mille Italy !

Well as an Englishman who used to really support the England team all i can say is the better team won.

England have been a pretty poor team for the last two major tournaments. Our better players havent gotten older and left international football or are now simply overpaid players with no lust for victory anymore - such as Wayne Rooney.

Well done Italy, but i didnt think they played very well either. I doubt they'll win against Germany.

England don't have the quality players coming through and what the English think are top quality are average at best. Hodgson knows that that's why they were so defensive, its what they are good at. England would probably draw nil-nil with the like of Spain and Germany to be honest and then lose on penalties.

As a Juventus fan I'm happy, Italy have their own style of play that Pirlo dictates. Half of them are from Juve who went the entire season unbeaten. I'm a bit worried about the lack of strikers though, should have taken Matri or someone else. Still, I expect the English papers to acknowledge the difference in class tonight and be humble come tomorrow morning.

England should be proud, they have a very solid base and with players like Wiltshire coming back and some new talent like Oxlade, they could move up and get a bit closer to the prize. Good match, no controversy, just good football.
