Is it stuk or does the camera not open when the shutter is open???
If the shutter is stuck without further pressurization you should sort it out hardware wise,
for instance take it to a repairer or if you can do it yourself try opening the back part of housing then see, if it's damaged; time to buy a new housing(especially the back part)!!!
If you unlucky and if the shutter opens but the camera doesn't then your sensor or switch has been damaged.
Let me know which one has occurred of the above mentioned.

Looks like the camera module itself was done for, it'll require camera module replacement, though I wonder how you're supposed to do that given that Sony Ericsson service center doesn't seem to support the device anymore does it? Another solution would be to send it to an authorized and well-reputed cellphone repair shop at your place to replace your broken component.

+1 for razec's post for both solution and the services from .
He means that since its an old phone from 2008 normally these phones don't have support after so many years; after all, it has been 4 years you wouldn't expect repair team to have an original camera module of c905 with them...there are many other recent models too, right?
Back to topic now. I feel really sorry for you pdxc mate . This is such a good old phone and has a fantastic camera. Razec is absolutely right....your camera module could be done for...it could be the end of your camera....!!!! Sorry mate.......
I definitely have an advice for you...not sure it will work but try re-installing a new firmware with update service...hardware wise you might wanna open the cellphone and check all the ribbon connectors......especially the camera module part ribbon..disconnect it and connect again and if possible try changing the slider flex cable and the main pvc ribbon cable.......best of luck.......

1. install latest adobe flash:
http://get.adobe.com/se/flashplayer/
2. install update software:
http://www.sonymobile.com/se/software/phones/c905/
3. connect your c905 to your PC (hold C-button...etc...etc)__________install firmware
hope it works........................

nope....
hopefully its software related.......if its hardware(mechanic) related you have to switch the whole lens cover & Co.
