Hey @eum1r, it really depends on your needs and how comfortable you are with technology.
Both Android and the iPhone are good in their own respects. It really depends on the end user. For example:
I was a longtime Windows/Linux user then I slowly migrated to Mac.
I tried the iPhone, but found it lacking. But I also love my iPod Touch (although this is more for FaceTime than anything else)
I had an iPad too, which I sold because I prefer the Android tablets.
So even though I use Apple computers, I prefer Android on my mobile devices.
I know many that are PC users that are happier with the iPhone, but don't want to switch to Mac.
I know Android users who are less tech savvy than iPhone users.
For my mobile phone, I'm very happy with the Xperia ray, and chose it over the S2, the Xperia Arc, and Xperia S. Since size and screen ppi was more important to me than CPU power. Just know what you want, or need. There is no such thing as ONE perfect phone. There will be a perfect phone for YOU, but only you can decide on that.

I think like @razec said, which specific phones are you comparing? Sony already has quite a line-up after leaving the SE joint venture. Which iPhone are you comparing it to? And for what purpose?
I am afraid the argument you are having with your friends will have no "winner" because it comes down to taste and personal preference. Its like asking what is better - beef or chicken?
Based on sales of devices, iPhones are better than Sony/SE devices.
Finally depending on who and where you ask this question, you will get different responses. If you ask this on the iMore website for example, iPhones will win. If you go to a site with a bias towards Android and / or Sony, you will also get a different view.
Lets sit back and enjoy the wide array of technology available to us, all the different OS'es and devices!

What are you going to buy after XRay?
I hardly find any better phone for my needs.
I wish Ray had 1GB Ram though

i would like the the apple organization company to be unique, but due to the planet of innovative right now in the silicone place, that may not always be a possibility
if the the apple organization company had to incorporate with someone in the IT place, i would wish it to be panasonic more than anybody else.

I agree. It's going to be tough because the Xperia ray has a great design as well as great features. I'm not quite fond of the new designs of Sony... they're nice, just not my style. The last gen of Xperia's had great designs. From the arc to the mini/mini pro, active, and the ray... I loved almost all the previous gen Xperia phones. Now, Sony is trying to come up with their own look. I like the transparent band a lot, I hope that becomes a signature... but I'm not warming up to the squarish shapes they currently have.
If I had to choose... I would say the Xperia P would be my pick for this generation... if only it had the same dimensions as the ray. The SX would seem to be a natural choice, but I prefer the design of the P... it's just way too big for me, if it had a 3.3" screen with the same resolution... I would consider that as my next phone... but for now, I'll hold out.

You should try to do some efforts by looking at websites by yourself mate, the GSMArena review i provided up there had reviews on both handsets, and has answered every questions you would ask

Or go to the mall and try it out yourself. MegaMall and Glorietta have Sony Concept stores that have them on display to play with. Smart Jump Center in Megamall allows you to play with them as well. Pictures won't help you figure out if the phone is too big or small for you unless you actually hold it.

I don't get this thread. What do you mean what is the truth?? Why is everything gotta be compared to Apple?? I don't see Apple as the ones to compare to or look upto. Apple is popular does not mean it's any good

When I buy a phone I look for what I want to have in a phone and not what is popular or the best for someone else ... Apple makes very nice phones but I would never get one and it is not the money,it is the company that I do not like.
Myself I have the mini pro and for me this is the best phone on earth even that 99% of you will disagree. |
