I have no problems making calls or using voice dial with my Motorola headset and P800.....however, everytime I open the boom mic to answer a call, the phone answers the call but voice is from the handset instead, not the headset. I have to pick up the handset to talk. What am I doing wrong?.....Also, does the phone bluetooth mode have to be "on"? Auto does not seem to work for me....

In the manual for the P800, it says that the magic word can't work with bluetooth headsets...only with supplied headset (with wires). As for discovery, do you mean set the bluetooth function to discoverable? When I set it to "on" on my old T68, it worked just fine. Now, it's answering on the handset when I use my bluetooth headset to pick up a call.

Help, anyone else?

Just set it to discovery mode. You should have no problems. It works for me

I also have the problem of the headset not picking up the sound all the time. I'm using the HBH-30

Discoverable mode shouldn't be the right solution but I'll try it anyway. Does Discoverable mode consume more battery power? Everything consumes more power on the P800 :|

Mimzo, are your problems the same as mine? Only when you answer a call? I can still voice dial and call fine.

Does setting my phone to discoverable compromise my phone security? does it mean that Others can acess my phone? Does it draw more power?

my bluetooth connection is always on. my battery last 24 hours. if my P800 is not connected to my headset, i connect it to my pc or its just idle. before other people could connect to your device they have to pair first with you. so everything is secure.

Magic word "more or less" does work with e.g. P800 and for example Bluespoon.
Once you hear the ringtone in the headset, say e.g. "ANSWER"
It will pick up the call,..but its a bit tricky, hehe.

I can use headset in ON-mode and automatic as well,..of course voice-dialling and so on, does not work in auto-mode.

My Headset-sound setting is set to HEADSET.
