I don't trust CNET's reviews, I stopped reading them long ago, If possible I want proper camera review sites like Imaging-resource/D-Preview/Ephotozine and etc.

Hang on CNET are using the HDR function on the 4s which is cheating, if they wanted to do a proper comparison they either should of turned off HDR on the 4s or install a Camera HDR pro for the Xperia S and I believe the results would be extremely close, CNET are idiots and obviously Apple biased. |

It is very obvious that they are biased towards apple |

hhmmm. i hope my new iphone 4s will produce accurate colours. (the camera is one of the reason i bought iphone 4s)
question:
how well does the stock cam driver gets "updated" when you update your firmware to iOS 5.0.1 ???
(does the HDR function push up the colour saturation ??? someone knows ?? (asking iphone 4s owners here of course))

You have a iPhone 4S?
Btw i posted a thread it tells you what that update does
In this Apple area
Regarding camera I really cannot say I even use it
As much but it's there's if I do need to use it
Camera isn't one of the features that interested
Me it was mainly music use

This is the real review I'm looking for:

As I expected, iPhone 4s' camera performance is still behind digicams

In fact, only Nokia PureView can be compared with DSLRs, as it's quality is obviously better than compact digicams(which is not so obvious with iPhone 4S and Xperia S). |

Actually as a 41MP, Pureview doesn't stand any chance even against the APS-C D3200 (24MP) or NEX5N (16MP) or even against microfourthirds cameras. The pixel density is just there to produce a better 3/5/8MP image which will best every 3/5/8MP cameraphones (or even the old 8mp digicams) out there. remember that even for a 1/2" sensor pureview's pixels were still smaller than a typical microfourthirds (14-16MP) sensor. so the 41MP capability is just a gimmick that serves a different purpose
