Hello.
I've got a T68 and have a couple of questions.
My Top side-button is broke and i want to change the volume when i speak to people, its too low right now.. Is there another option to change the volume setting when you speak ?
Also, my T68 (the old model) is not marked with an M.
The menus looks like the old t68 menus etc but I have the t68i games.
I don't have any other t68i menus like MMS etc.. Can anyone tell me why i have the menus like this?
I have the R2D005 software installed, is it the software for t68 or t68i??
Looking forward to your answers
Regards, Michael |

you can use the joystick to change colume... but... you need to use the volume button to enter the volume option...
R2D005 is the ordinary T68m firmware

Thanks for clearing one thing out
The volume button is completley dead, even the little "pin" wich the button moves..
Is it impossible to change the volume then? |

Use a toothpick in the volume slider hole to move the little switch up or down while in a call & as soon as you see the volume menu on the screen adjust it to your chosen position using the joystick, also did you know that if you get a volume switch sent to you ( they are extremely cheap) it just clicks into place (get it the right way up though).
Software is "i" software if it has the game "navel fleet" if it has "tetris" then it`s the "m" , many t68m phones were upgraded to "i" recently to be sold as t68i classic.

yes it's impossible... I suggest you visit a servicepoint so they'll have a look at it... |

You are aware that you have to be actually in a call to adjust the volume, please try again as it`s unlikely that the switch failed at the time your slider fell off. also i have added some info to my earlier post.

the volume switch needs either to be resoldered or replaced (or if it's really bad the entire phone needs to be replaced)... so it's not enough with just putting a new volume button in place... |

I've tried that too :\ The whole volume switch is dead..
The strange things about my software though..
I have Naval fleet and all the other t68i games, not tetris.
But the other things in the phone are t68m like the name of the menus, the short recordingtime when you record messages, can only save one picture etc etc etc
Got this phone in Nov 2002 (replacement phone from ericsson)..
When you upgrade your t68m to t68i, shouldn't the entire menu system look exactley as the t68i? |

yeah about your menus and all that, my t68m was just the same, had no tetris, shame! had it upgraded a few days ago to r6a012 and everythings just dandy, games still the same, got mms menu and everything on the t68i.
You better slap that monkeys ass, and slap it good |
