Incredible, our year old GS3 is ALREADY looking to get 4.2 even before some late 2012 and 2013 flagships from other OEMs  too awesome!
Yep, and Samsung pretty much confirmed this after the S4 announcement, there is no reason to doubt that all the touchwiz new features (i.e. new weather app) will come straight over the S3.
Next question is when - it won't be before the end of April (for obvious reasons) but maybe May/June? |

Considering the state of the leaked 4.2.1 fw? I'm betting on late May.
More great news for us, the GS4, GS3, GNote2, GNote8.0 and GNote10.1 shall be receiving Android5.0, according to SamMobile's insider:

The GS3 LTE is looking the best at this point I must say, 2GB RAM, LTE and an Exynos chip, all for a great price, probably the best 2012 smartphone you can get.

WTF!? What were Samsung thinking??? They have absolutely no need to do what they did and to add insult to injury they did it to HTC, Samsung don't have a single OEM to worry about in Android, okay maybe Huawei and LG may pose a bit of a threat , especially in China, but other than that? Nah, all they have to worry about is No.1 Apple and No.2 Nokia, and even No.2 isn't in the greatest of shape right now.
A very stupid, nasty and unnecessary tactic used by Samsung Taiwan there, it's the sort of thing Microsoft would do to Google.
