Cant say ill use that feature much.
I have noticed a small bug however. In the notification area, my NFC toggle has disappeared. Its just a blank square amongst the other saying NFC but theres no image and pressing it nothing happens. Bizarre.

Just updated to 4.1.2 today OTA. Very good, i like the split screen functionality - very productive.
But my main point of improvement would have to be the new gallery. Much better !
I also read that you can now list the apps menu to show the most used apps. That would be handy.
Still waiting for network approval from EE for my S3 - yawn. |

The only types i have are customisable, alphabetical or alphabetical list.
So i dont think you can do that. I rarely dip into the app drawer for the full list of apps i have installed. I usually just keep all my favourite apps on a homescreen, iOS style.

Ah I see.
Will be interested to see when 4.2 is released for the S3. I know it's not a massive update from 4.1.2 but Samsung have said Q1 2013 so I would expect international versions to have this by April/May maybe.
And to think Sony will probably launch their "flagships" with 4.1.0.
This is where Samsung are way ahead of Sony. |

I didnt like Sony phones before they teamed up with Ericsson. Now they've dumped Ericsson, i still dont like them.
Im in no rush for 4.2, in fact i was pretty much content with 4.0. My phone is only missing features Samsung and Google dont yet support in their phones, or most. Such as a FM transmitter.

EE finally realised the 4.1.2 update. Fairly painless to update other it must have been large as it took a while to download.
- Like Paper Artist - very much like Paper Camera app I have - bit of fun but for free who can argue.
- I have pattern lock on my S3 so the facebook lock screen won't work.
- Swype type keyboard is brilliant - I thought it would be gimmick but it really does work and I might just stay with it. Good that you can also type normally with swype mode activated.
- Low light on camera also seems good.
Not sure about battery, seems to be a little bit less on this update.
Roll on 4.2. |

If you were offered an S2 for £170 or an S3 for £320 which one would you go for? I know the S3 has a much better battery but are the cameras any different? |

Go for the S3. The screen and better use of up to date Android makes its more worthwhile.

Yep, spend a little extra and get a GS3 and if you can, try get a GS3 LTE which has 2GB RAM and 4G LTE.
The S3's display, design, UI speed and fluidity, FW support etc...are all far better. Camera wise, i havent really paid attention to the differences in the actual cameras, but the S3's Camera UI is a lot faster though i can tell you that.
