Memory Card Expansion slot or Not? |

More companies are now making phones without memory card expansion slots. I think the Galaxy Nexus is without a slot.
Do you prefer your phone to be without a memory card slot or not?
Personally I prefer the memory expansion slot.

Definetly prefer with Expansion, having a smartphone that can handle such high quality media effortlessly i need more space for HD1080P movies, higher quality music, bigger games, photos, videos and storage for back-up files, as it is my 32GB of memory in my GS2 (16GB internal +16GB mem card) are running out, and im looking to get a 32GB mem card to make it 48GB or even a 64GB mem card at a reasonable price to make it 80GB.
I cant imagine getting a phone post 2010 that is limited to just 32GB, or even worse, 16GB in the case of the Galaxy Nexus.
The Nokia N97 and N900 came with 32GB plus expansion, both could barely handle a video @ HD720P, so i can understand why back then expansion may not have been a big deal, but these days your mid to high end smartphones do HD720P and HD1080P without breaking a sweat, sooner or later you'll reach the memory limit.
If OEMs are going to limit memory they should make phones with 64GB built-in as an option in their range just like Apple have. So HTC and Sony should make a One X 64GB variant and Xperia S 64GB variant, i see many "power users" complaining and now waiting for the GS3 as HTC and Sony havent allowed expansion in their flagships.

Oh I am supporting you 100% with everything you said. I am looking at the 64GB card which I have been waiting to buy. They are now going for US$110 and at times even US$99. Only a matter of weeks before sub US$100 becomes the norm for these card and I am definitely going to get one.
I sold my 16GB memory card recently as I found that that was way less than what I need for memory. I don't even think the 32GB will be enough so I am heading straight for 64GB.
Expansion slots are the way to go in my opinion.

Should be but mem cards are handy for transferring media between devices.
