C901 + WIN7, unable to see phone icon in 'My Computer' |

hello,
i am using the same WIN7 program on my desktop and my laptop.
when i plug my C901 into my desktop, using just the cable, the computer can see it. as the C901 icon shows up in 'My Computer'
when i plug my C901 into my laptop, again using the same cable, the computer can not see it. no icon shows up in 'My Computer'
i have tried downloading all sorts of sony ericsson programs (which i would prefer not to use),
what am i missing? i would like to just simply plug my phone into my laptop, transfer my photos over and be done with it....
how do i make my laptop see my phone?

Hi!
I guess you tried with all the USB ports? Also, scan your laptop with an updated anti-virus software. Does this only happen with your phone? Is it the same with any other USB memory?
