Hey, i've been reading this discussion forum for the past 5 days, and have finally decided to register. I just wanted to get a list goin here, so we could keep in touch with each other on futher developments here in canada. (whew! that was a run on sentence)

I just went to the Fido at Eaton Centre today, and asked them to flash my phone to R6A012 (from R2E006). They said the update was free, if i bought the fone from Fido, since i did not get my phone from Fido they would not flash it. The technician told me that when he places my phone for flashing, the computer will match my serial number to those serial numbers sent by SE to Fido. If my phone is not bought from Fido, the numbers would not match and the phone will not be upgraded. I think he was bullshitting, but whateva. Anyone know where i can flash my phone to R6A012 (SE T68i) in Toronto, Canada?
Also, was that fido technician just bullshitting me?

fido just doesnt want to flash it for u..
damn idiots..
they cldnt figure out how to set up the e-mail for my P800.. had to do it myself!

I've never even seen BT headsets other than mine in Montreal..
nor a nice lil blue LED flashing..
I try my luck when I see BT compliant phones..

I have a unlocked t68i with rogers AT&t.
to get you firmware upgraded go to the FIDO store in FIRST Canadian Place in Toronto. I got mine upgraded fro RE to R6A for $15. They do it for you right away usually takes 20 minutes. The one at the eaton centre refuses to do any none fido fones.
I don't know what bluejacking is? so no.

bluejacking is basically catching some off guard with his BT on and sending him msgs via BT...
there is a huge thread about it
