Remove the antenna cover (just pull it off, try not to pry it out otherwise you risk making it loose and start rattling), the sticker show production batch date as a code

AFAIK, it's always on. At least I've never had to turn it on.

If you're on a Mac, you need Sony's Bridge or the official Android File Transfer App. Windows should work OOTB by default.

also, i noticed that the playlist's way of listing songs is not alphabetically done. is there any workaround?

and is there any way to turn off the led lights wile playing some videos?

Oh I never use the EQ on anything. I always leave it flat. Just get better cans. I do like the surround simulator though, I like using Studio. Play with the Clear Bass setting before touching the EQ.

YOu can download the Illumination Bar app to control the light bar.

aahh. so its not like the ray that the light turns off when idle.

sorry final question...for the day. LOL - how do you create folders in the main home screen?

TIA

Same as the Ray, just drop another app on top of an existing one

@Offline, took the plunge... got the P! Still getting used to the large size... but it's a great phone! Slowly migrating all my data from my ray...

Just joined the XP club as well (a black one) and as you I also have a MAC (an MBA 2012 to be more precise).

Had not planed to buy any phone this year, however found it on sales and since I have had my eye on it since spring it looked like a no brainer. Coming from X10 mini (I have had it since 2010) it takes some time to adjust.

@Arne Anka congrats! Yes, the old phones really spoil you with their size. You forget you have them in your pocket.

I had the X10 MP prior to the ray. I'm hoping this phallic screen trend will taper off in a couple of years and Sony will start making small performance androids again like the mini/minipro/ray line. (Like a thinner Xperia U made of aluminum)

But for now, the 4" XP is already considered "Mini" by Samsung standards

It was a short love. Noticed yesterday that the lower right corner of the screen was slightly recessed and when pushed it flexed a bit and made the colors of the screen shift at that part.

Nevertheless, I exchanged it today for another one. Haven't opened it yet and I have to wait until later today. Hope this one is better.

Have you applied the provided screen protector on your device or do you use it naked (just with the shatter proof sheet) ?

It easy to find here in Sweden, however it does not seem to be many customers buying it. Maybe potential customers have been put of by all discussion of the battery ?

@Arne Anka
Hope the replacement is problem free!

I have applied the in-box screen protector and already have some scratches on it (Have had the phone since the end of July). I don't know whether the shatter proof sheet is scratch resistant...

I also upgraded from a X10 mini and to be honest I got used to the size of P quite fast.
I still use my X10 mini as a secondary phone. I'm running a custom Gingerbread ROM on it and with a slight overclock (from 600 to 650 MHz) the X10 mini performs in simple everyday tasks, on par if not better than the P with stock ICS.
