According to All About Symbian and various other sites the Nokia Belle update has started to roll out for existing Symbian ^3 handsets, N8,E7,C7 etc

http://www.allaboutsymbian.co[....]Nokia_Belle_update_roll_ou.php

I will check when i get home to see if my N8 has received any update. It appears that its mostly being received in India, but a couple of reports from Spain and Poland suggest that it has also begun in Europe

Mine too, nice and very good on par with Android with fluidity imo. Its completely uninstalled ALOT of my apps though which were free when i downloaded them but are now premium. Not gutted though as they were all mainly games which im not into anyway.

Oh and its Nokia Belle now, Symbian as a name has been dropped completely, for reasons i reckon are the bad press the word Symbian automatically stirs up in the minds of the public.

Not all product codes have been given the update yet, if you check on the link in the second post it will tell you the update status for your product code

Mine said there is no update if you key in *#0000#

If you go to the app SW Update and refresh it, it should appear there.

Alternatively boot up Nokia Suite and connect the phone to the pc (not mac) and refresh for updates.

Nokia officially announced the rebranding from Symbian OS to Nokia OS is a press conference late last year.. I think during Nokia World if I'm not mistaken..
It's among the rebranding movement they made to all their ecosystem..
Ovi to Nokia as well as Symbian to Nokia:

Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia Store, Nokia Music, Nokia OS etc..
