My Opera browser doesn´t work with my Comviq GPRS.
It just stands at 1K, but when I use the built-in browser it works..
The browser just works when I use the modem on my computer..
Please help

Strange, it works nice for me.
I just starts Opera, chooses "go to site...", types the URL, and then "tjoff poff" a small dialogue box appears asking me which account I would like to use to connect to the internet with, and there I choose Comviq GPRS - and the page starts to load. I did notice like sites like "Aftonbladet" is real heavy to load, but Esato goes fast.

@kallingen- must have something to do with your operator's APN.
in the Philippines, Globe telco has 2 APNs, one APN gets to load more sites than the other. |

I have the same problem and it´s impossible to access any site when using Comviq Gprs with Opera but when using Telia as provider there is no problem. As you see there is reason for Comviq to still let us use the Gprs for free.

I'm posting this from my p800, with opera and comviq gprs. Runs like a dream I haven't changed any settings or anything, just installed opera, and all worked perfect. |

Interesting, are you using Comviq pre paid as I do? I have not been able with the included browser to get access to many sites and even the stuff at Ericsson help desk did´nt managed to get access to SE homepage or Comviqs homepage and they was using the Comviq PrePaid. Now Ericsson is working at the problem together with Comviq to find out all the problem. Maybe the Opera is one solution but I still have problem.

That's probably it, with prepaid you're limited to wap alone.
While you have the whole web opening for you on a plan |

Yes but It´s quite limited which wap sites you can get access to too. I.e can not access to wap.comviq.se and wap.mobil.se.
But out of the topic (sorry) was using Gprs at Live cameras with Telia and it was amazing how quick the amount of kb was counting, it is to expensive BUT when using Telia through gsm is only 30 öre/minuthes and much cheaper BUT not good to use with myBuddies:-)

That's the only prob I have with opera, it refuses to connect to wap.comviq.se it connects to the website instead. But everything else works great, not all that fast, but still good. |
