I might be one of the few left who hasn't got around to buying one of these frisbees yet.
Question now is wich one should I buy?

The kids wants an Ipad because "everybody has one". No other reason than that and that is basically why I've pulled the breaks on the purshase; The only I in our house is ME
We have no MAC/apple-product in the house what so ever. Mr Jobs never managed to convince me that his over priced products was exacly what I needed.

I've looked around a bit and started wondering about the Sony Tablet.
It looks good and has the specs I'm looking for. (And you can use the PS3 joy stick when playng certain games on it. Thinking of this as an argument towards the kids)

So, Ipad VS Sony Tablet... Same spec and price but different OS...

Everything technical device we have in the house is PC related. Every mobile we have is Android.
Is it worth it to add an Apple product to the line?

so is the choice perhaps just a design and O/S choice?

I guess as a long term satisfied iPad user I can recommend that. Everyone including my 13 yo niece and 10 yo nephew, and friends who visit etc just pick it up and use it without help from me (even my Mum had no problem when I went back for a visit last year). I've always been a Sony fan having had vaio's since they came out. My first radio, first cassette player, first turntable etc were all Sony's, but this tablet from them just doesn't inspire me.

If you're really going to go Android, what about the Asus transformer prime with the new tegra 3 quad core chip etc etc (actually it has 5 cores from what I understand)... and at least its running the latest Android o/s... it looks like a very smart tablet that is very current for 2012

This is not my experience but from a few reviews i have read say the Sony tablet suffers slot of lag and slow down. Ipad would be better and i never thought i would find myself saying that

This means an Android tablet is the way to go. Transferring anything from iOS device is an horror since it doesn't support USB Mass Storage. Meaning You will have to install iTunes, and I can't really find another software that is littering OS so widely. Just having to install QucikTime made quite a mess on my Windows...

And also, specs aren't really the same, since iPad camera is pathetic, and screen resolution is not panoramic (old-school 4:3 ratio)

You can get a Sony Tablet S from Comet at the moment for £315 (including voucher code 10TABLET) which makes it about £85 less than a Ipad here in the UK, not sure what its like for price in norway.
