Motorola announces the A760. The first handset from Motorla with Linux and Java | 02.13.03 | Posted by howard

Today Motorola announced the A760. Motorola's first Linux and Java phone. If you've ever wondered why Motorola hasn't released a Symbian OS based phone that's because they've decided to focus on Linux and Java (at least for the North American market, there will be some Symbian stuff later).
The A760 has a built in camera, PDA functionality, video player, mp3 player, speaker phone, email, bluetooth, infrared, USB and a touch screen. Pictures to follow later.

That's cool! It will be interesting to see how it (Linux) does in the mobile phone market.
