For 2013, Sony's smartphone shipments are expected to reach 40 million units with 25-30% of the volume are outsourced, a great increase compared to 2012 and should strongly benefit Taiwan-based ODMs and their related upstream supply chain

that doesn't sound all that great...

i mean, why would they go backwards with the capacitive touch buttons instead of onscreen ones that are built into android now? i'd prefer more screen real estate than capacitive buttons

As far as I can tell the specs list "Navigating will be handled by three capacitive on screen buttons".

Even though the new rumours shows a phone with quad core and jb out of the box, there qre still people moaning and trying to find flaws... I feel sorry for sony. And not having on screen buttons does not mean they are moving back. It gives the phone a larger screen and more variation in designs.

There are so many names, it's hard to keep up. Is Mint now referring to the Xperia Z, LT30 or both?

There is no quad core phone this year. So I would suggest people to not believe this "Xperia Z" rumor

Those specs are similar to the Sony Q1-Q2 2013 flagship for Intl market.

Can anyone confirm or deny that we'll have an announcement on the 20th (the day after tomorrow)?

AFAIK there is no announcement on 20th. Of course there is a very high chance I may very well be proved wrong but I haven't read anything about an announcement on 20th anywhere.
Fingers crossed though.

Apparently there is some sort of press conference to announce the availability of the Acro S in Taiwan tomorrow. An announcement of a new device isn't expected though.

I can assume then that hayabusa is going to outside it's leaked date of 'july' for release? Either that or Arco S is hayabusa? Quite confused with the current rumours and plethora of repeated variations of old handsets.

Anybody knows will Sony produce windows phone or windows tablet ? and when ? After looking at Nokia Lumia (windows phone 7.5), I'm very impress with windows performance. The OS easily outperform android and iOS. The OS is blazing fast (really very fast) even with a single core processor and small RAM.

I've never seen any platform that is faster than windows phone. Really hope that Sony will release windows phone or windows tablet as I don't like nokia.
