Is it just me or is this topic about rumours not about them anymore?

it gets this way when there aren't enough leaks.. it's a cycle.

1) First there's excitement as what's to come during the year..
2) Leaks start and anticipation/excitement increases
3) More detailed information/confirmations roll in and criticisms start to fly and comparisons with other manufacturers complete with debates begin
4) Announcements - mix of applause and disappointment with again, debates and comparisons
5) quiet time so this thread goes off topic discussing intricacies of processors, sensors, and now business models/policies, etc.
6) Repeat steps 2-5 until thread closes..

So from the last few pages of discussion, can we get some new leaks or rumor ?

I guess nothing...

Most likely it was a typo.

But got some interesting news from one very trusted source over at XDA.

"Ion is S3. I have been told by my friend at Sony that the Mint more of a spec increase from the ion with the arc styling. so I believe that one will be the S4 possibly clocked higher. I am hoping to get my hands on one in the coming months and get more info. "

The Mint might have a S4 that is clocked higher.

He BELIVIES, his friend didn't tell him that. So I think there is no reason to hope the Mint will be clocked at anything other than 1.5 ghz.

There is a new rumor on Chinese forums that the Sony Phone cum tablet Xperia will be powered by Nvidia Quad Core A15 chipset.

Seems plausible but I'm not too sure really.

@Rubenos That looks weird because it's a mockup and not a real handset. Looks like a dummy handset for display purposes to me or a housing and someone has printed the homescreen off the ION and put it in where the screen should be. Looks nice though (just like the GX does ).

Wait, what?
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...

Any more updates/rumors on the release of Mint/GX? It's been more or less confirmed to run on S4.
At this point, the S4 seems like the best decision (given that the quad-core S4 Krait wont come in devices till 2013) so Sony should just go for it, and focus on UI optimization, and adding a 2000Mh battery. If they can do this in the next couple of months and price it around (or slightly less than) One X, it will be a winner.
I have the Xperia S and am generally quite happy with it, even the battery is not bad, especially after the ICS update. I went to the store to compare it with the One X, and I think at ~$150 less, the XS is easily a better deal.
