Believe it when I see it. Seeing how Sony is unable to release a competitive tablet really says it all, thats all Sony and you cant blame SE for that. SE has practically been a full owned Sony company the last 6+ years. If they would release Xperia GX and SX internationally they would have awesome devices right now... I really cant understand them

Neither can I. This is where the fallout is. We can't understand them and they don't understand the consumers

Well, Sony I must admit is stupid when it comes to making high-end phones for years now but their mid-end and low-end offerings are very competitive if not the best. Correct me if I'm wrong but Sony is the only company with a dual-core for just $250! |

Well the story of the Sony tablet is a bit messed up in itself. Supposedly in the Sony of old where each division was basically working on its own, there were 3-4 seperate Sony tablets being developed and each division had no idea that the other was making a tablet! It wasn't until Kaz stepped in and realized what was going on that a stop was put to all of that crap. They began focus on 2 tablets, the Tablet S and the Tablet P. From what I've heard, the Tablet P was really just an old concept they had kicking around for ages and they decided to just make a tablet out of it. The Tablet S isn't really that bad a tablet and has some unique features (I own one). The built in IR transmitter is extremely useful and Sonys universal remote software is amazingly good. I just wish they'd build this feature into their cell phones!
Anyways, all of that just tells me that the Sony of old was too divided to really put a true effort into the tablet market. If all of your divisons aren't talking or working together, how can you expect to put out a quality product? Now we have the One Sony under Kaz where all divisions are talking and working together. We know a new Tablet is due pretty soon and I'm very interested to see what they'll come up with. Info I've heard so far is that it has a magnesium-aluminum alloy shell, which is a HUGE step up IMO, and it'll have an HDMI out port, which I'm also excited about. Beyond that, we don't know much else I'm afraid |

Might be a little off-topic, but I think it's related also...
What other main competitors are preparing for 2H also ?
- Nexus
- Samsung
- HTC
- Moto/LG
Sony should consider this mostly when finalizing the hardware spec... thought some final spec. might already been finalized some time ago...

Sony perhaps doesn't even know what kind of devices we have in the market right now. It always felt they were 2 years behind of the competition. |

"The Sony LT30p Mint is expected to sport a 4.6-inch (720 x 1280) display with on-screen buttons, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset (MSM8960), 1GB RAM, 13MP camera capable of 1080p video recording, 720p front facing camera, 16GB of internal memory, memory card support, MHL output, NFC and feature an arc design with a sealed battery."
ARE U FU**ING KIDDING ME?! ARC II OR WHAT? NEED LEAKS!!! COME ON!!! SOMEONE SAID ON 12TH JULY SONY WILL ANNOUNCE HAYABUSA... I STILL SEE NOTHING... I THINK SONY CANCELED HAYABUSA FOR GLOBAL... THINK MINT WILL BE LAST PHONE FOR THIS YEAR...
BY THE WAY, SONY (ANNOUNCED) THIS YEAR 5 "FLAGSHIPS" XS, ION, ACRO S, HAYABUSA & MINT. BUT NON OF THIS IS A REAL COMPETITOR TO THE GALAXY S3, 4X HD OR EVEN THE ONE X. IT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER IF SONY WOULD PRESENT ONLY 2 FLAGSHIPS PER YEAR, FIRST & SECOND HALF. ALL 5 DEVICES ALMOST SAME!! ONLY DESIGN IS DIFFERENT... BETTER 2 PHONES WITH BETTER SPECS AND WORLDWIDE SHIPPING!!!!! AND DONT FORGET, ONLY 2 COLOURS, BLACK & WHITE!!!! THIS IS THE RECEPT FOR SONY TO SURVIVE IN THE MARKET AND WILL BE IN A BETTER SITUATION.... PEACEEEEE

Well, at least I can see some kind of progress. These camera samples look miles better then those from arc/Xperia S. On the other hand, Mint still looks like a 500€ , not a 600€ device. |

well.. with all the marketing AT&T is doing for the ION right now, i would think Mint won't be coming to AT&T until late 2012 or hell, maybe not even until early 2013. Who knows. Look how long Ion was delayed.
Rumors are great and all, but some official release dates would be great. Come on Sony, just give us a MONTH to expect some releases, would ya?
