According some fresh rumors Hayabusa is confirmed for tomorrow but there is a high chance that the Mint will also be shown. But if its not shown tomorrow it will be shown on July 12! Online !

Also Mint is "ugly" compared to Hayabusa and packs a 4.7 inch screen

Are your comments about Mints appearance based on your own personal observations, or based on other peoples opinions?

If other rumours about Mint being the Bond phone are true, I have to wonder just how "ugly" it can be.

@randomuser,

Exactly, even that roadmap is not 100% match for the reality of 2012... we already know that Sony made some changes and most 2012 are still SEMC but Sony managed to add 1-3 phones of its own...

Well maybe, maybe not. Those 1-3 phones you mentioned, are they going to be released in India? If not, then the roadmap is still accurate for which phones have been announced.

off topic. I was at Croma shop in Delhi recently. Had to kill time so went to Croma and started checking out Samsung S3, iPhone 4S and all. Then I saw Lava (intel chip) android phone and when I used it, I was amazed with the UI speed. It was blazing fast. Even iPhone isn't that flawless what Lava Android Xolo phone was.

Why don't we have intel chips. Forget the S3 & S4. Believe me, people who are from India, must give a demo at any shop and see how Android can be the fastest phone.

@vivftp

I know, low-end phones for Asian markets ( India, China, etc... )...

So this just small changes as low-end doesn't take that much of R&D specially they make one and copy it to several designs with small functionality change... in software side only minor changes... and no long support or no frequent updates that's why they're cheap and easy...

the other fact is that roadmap stops at Q3, doesn't mention anything for Q4. so we might get something, that thing might be a good phone, and might be not so good phone, and might be just a wish of Q4...

being silent regarding Q4 I feel Sony is hiding something with Nexus brand on it, thought SEMC showed no interest in a phone that does not have it's touch... things might change with Sony... I'm really hoping for Xperia Nexus... and it will be the perfect surprise for Q4... specially if it was a really high-end phone something Hayabusa and higher...

@Indiandawg
Intel Android phones are nice, I know nothing regarding their battery life or how slim or small they can be.. but being an x86 rather than ARM they might have some issues running native ARM apps... there's about 25% of Android apps using native ARM code ( like Angry Birds or some audio/video players for example ).. Intel claims 90% of them will work normally as they're using emulation to make things work... but Intel didn't give much details...

The bond phone thing is just an assumption. As far as Mint being ugly, maybe not ugly, but thicker. Unknown13x had already said:

" Just got new sets of images for Hayabusa
and Mint, and I clearly can say Mint is no
where good looking as Hayabusa. Because
of how its battery is not removable, Sony
decides to go some route I don't like. Mint
is also thicker, and IMO, it looks like a fatter
Arc S."

And it's also confirmed that the international device will have the XPERIA logo at the bottom. The illumination bit is still unknown.

I think it's fine if Hayabusa > Mint in terms of looks, for as long as it still looks better than the competition outside Sony's jurisdiction

It would be nice to be able to judge for ourselves how nice Mint actually is.

^^ How about their names? I can't believe that I constantly post in this thread wondering about their production names.

Update: seems like Sony may have had a change of heart, ICS for Xperia Play possibly coming

I won't be downloading it until I'm absolutely sure it's bug free.

Thanks xperia_man. So we can assume that Mint is coming to the UK even if Hayabusa isn't.
