eh.. what's a couple months. let's not get into a big argument over it like the OLED fiasco.

Sony releasing the GX in Japan is such a tease. Now I am that much more excited and anxious to hear about the global version of Hayabusa and of course Mint. I know it is a long way from likely leaks for mint, but if anybody wants to share some photos/videos/spec confirmations *nudge Rog*... it'd be very much appreciated.

I'm very curious about the design and whether either of the two will have an OLED screen as has been rumored. Not a deal breaker for me though as I've always been very happy with sony screens.

^Yes, the S4 Pro-powered products could be announced as early as July, 2012 as there are about 120 products being developed with this SoC at the moment!. So he was quite far off about his time estimation, and he said that product sampling would start on 2nd half of 2012 which he got wrong again. The sampling has already been happening.

I really cannot be bothered by some members' misinterpretations and misreads. And it is not my purpose to argue over things that I would have loved to see in Xperia GXi. All I want just to share what I think about what the smartphone is lacking but I seemed to annoyed some members here.

Anyway, Xperia GX really caught me off guard. I really did not imagine it would look this elegant and stylish. Previous spy pics made me dislike it, but today I was blown away.

Your post to share your view here is very much welcomed, at least by me and others like me.

Actually I agree with you in most of your points.

As for the argument about Sony Models. I am very disappointed with non-removable battery as well as Sony using low capacity battery. Especially when their previous SE models is not known for good battery life, to say the least.

^Thanks for the info! I don't really expect Sony to use the S4 Pro SoC for the Xperia GXi. I am just daydreaming that maybe Sony will.

It written shipping that date is YES!

But don't you think the company would take time to getting know of all new hardware structure Adreno 320 (it will be different with Adreno 220/225) and also to optimized them with their own software! wouldn't it take time?

And don't ask why HTC is getting Snapdragon S4 damn fast while other company have to wait-in-long-line due to chipset shortage right now that's because HTC buy seat in Qualcomm's stock, so they always in fast track.

After all, look how SONY and HTC did optimized the chipset of Snapdragon S3 (Sensation XE and XPERIA S), digging some benchmarks for yourself.

Well, let's see if Snapdragon S4 Pro could hit the shelves earlier than my estimation with any company!

Furthermore, ZTE Tri-band LTE just two days back announcement, it still far form retail products, AGAIN!

imagine is damn easy, real world is another story

Hoping to sell 33M units? With small capacity battery with non-removable configuration....Count me out. Not in this way of design.

33M units isn't much when you look at Samsung who's lookin to sell over 200M!

Sony shouldn't have a problem meeting their goal if they release beautiful phones with great, solid features and specs.

The battery capacity is a point of concern for me, but I'll wait to see some real life usage. I've never had any battery issues with any of my phones from SE and Sony is well known for great battery life in their portable devices. We shall see. For now, bring on the pictures and leaks for Mint!

the walkman feature sounds amazing.. i just hope it has a lock screen control too.

i usually stream my music while on the go using google music, but with an expandable microSD i suppose I could keep some music locally...

can't begin to describe how excited I am to upgrade...

What a complete disaster of a device Same people who was behind the touch feature phones in the past? Should be cancelled immediately. Bring us new minis with 8500 instead. Use 8500 in all low to mid-ends and krait in high-ends

That article was spot on. They need to release the GX internationally, pronto. And scrap the Ion. It's a lost cause.

Shame about the cool name, though.
