Hey guys,

Been considering what phone here to get for some time but I am still torn between 3 here and cannot make up my mind, so I was hoping you guys could assist me slightly towards either of these phones from first hand experience.

So I need to make a choice most likely between (within my budget)
Sony Xperia Arc S
LG Optimus 2X
Motorola Atrix 2

I need it mainly for:
Internet (Smooth, all above does a good job there)
Taking pictures
Playing games (Who does not want that? )

Spec wise the Atrix 2 beats them all, but at the same time camera seems much better on the Arc S compared to LGO2X and A2, and on that basis I would be inclined to go for this phone, but at the same time I am worried about the singlecore processor and it`s performance in e.g. gaming.

Atrix 2 is hardly compatible with any games as of yet and images I simply cannot find enough samples of online to judge quality of.

LG02X has terrible support from what I hear and is prone to a lot of issues, so that is also somewhat of a concern for me.

Any thoughts guys?

I'd say that you shoud add the Xperia Play to the list.

Xperia Arc/Arc S have the Best Camera and Software Support than those 2, ICS 4.0 is just around the corner too.
Xperia Arc/Arc S can play most games out there without a problem, just stay away from specific games like GTA 3 or any games that is optimized to play with Dualcore phones.
I never had problems with Web Browsing with my Arc, but we know that Dualcore Phones does better than any Singlecore Phones.

If you want to play Games that are designed for dualcore, wait for a proper version for it, just like they did with ShadowGun

You can also visit my Youtube Channel for Previewing Games and some Camera Recording, try watching Shadow Gun, and GTA3 and you'll see what I mean

go for the Arc S, its beautiful and will run games fine! I have the xperia neo v and installed GTA3 and runs really well just a few tiny lags but still fine. The Arc S will run a bit more smoothly with it overclocked.

Between those id say get Arc S, simply because its software seems to be the most well optimized, ive heard that the LG has awful battery life and lag, and im just not convinced by the Atrix.

May I ask why you are not considering a Samsung Galaxy SII? It takes great pics and vids, has graphics accelerated web browser that can handle very heavy web pages with ease, and has the best dual-core CPU/GPU around.

The low internal space synonimous to all SE product means SE phones aren't meant for power users which includes Arc S that I'm currently using After 80+ apps it now lags even when scrolling through homescreens. They're not serious ab7out serious users

Yer SGII seems good but at the same time it is a bit on the steep side compared to other phones. I am trying to get as much value for my money as possible while keeping spending low.

Still really not sure here, i`d have said LG if it wasn`t for all the issues I heard about and the uncertainty of any software updates/improvements. e.g. as a point and shoot camera it is not good as the white balance settings are way off for instance. Still running outdated Android etc.

At the same time I feel that the Xperia Arc S is slightly overpriced as it only features a singlecore processor.

I can find Galaxy S2 relatively cheap USED on ebay. Problem is just I prefer having the NEW item in hand, so I know who held it before lol! OCD is fun
