Tecom bt3030 + P800 question |

Has any of you guys around the globe managed to get this combination working on a PC running Win Me? I can pair the phone and PC but when I try to transfer MP3s to the phone or when surfing over BT the SE sw disconnects from the P800 after a while. Would apreciate any help on this. Have tested different BT sw but all show the same result.

I don't have a P800 (yet) but I do have the same BT3030 and it works fine with my T68i. At least I'm familiarized with the BT software.
I don't know if the P800 has inbuilt "File Transfer" service, T68i doesn't so you need an additional software (not just BT one) to transfer files by a serial port connection.
Well, all I have to share with you is what I think is the most common problem in a seial connection with BT: Activation of the port. Go to the Mobil Phone Monitor configuration at Control Panel and activate the COM Ports it will be using.

Well this problem is really making me mad now. I have tried every driver (TDK, Anycom, Tecom...) and still the same problem:
I can connect the serial port between the P800 and my PC (Win XP) and as long as I do not send data between them the link stays up (forever it seems) and the PC suite program say that my P800 is connected. If I start to transfer a file (for example an MP3) it will start the transfer but after a while 15 sec to 1 minute it will stop and say that the phone is not connected. The bluetooth connection is still there which I can see in the bluetooth sw and on the P800.
Is there anybody out there who have had the same problem????
Really like some help please.

I have a TECOM BT-3030 Bluetooth Dongle, a P800, and Win XP Pro.
I have been able to pair my computer and the P800, but i can't get to work the Serial Port Service (since P800 doesn't has FTP service)
I can send files form the P800 to the PC, but the problem is when you establish connection via Serial Port with the P800. The connection gets broken. So i haven't be able to synch with the SE software.
My software version of Tecom Dongle is 1.2.2.16
By the way, my T68i worked fine with the Tecom dongle.

Hy!
I have bought a BT 3030 Dongle and like to connect to my MotorolaA835. But there ist no chance to do so ! The Driver was installed correctly, but it can´t find my Phone.
I have also installed the Dongle on a 2nd PC, but still can´t get any connection...
Maybe I need a Firmware update ??
How to find out my Software-Version of the Dongle ??
