they should do the same for upset iPhone 4s users (mediocre battery life, same signal problems as iPhone 4)

They could do that, but in reality the satisfaction ratings for the 4S are stratospheric and well documented by various surveys, so they might not have too many takers.
The security problems with Android are very real..
