I have had a few of these cables blowing up (big bang at the cig plug) or fried batteries.

They are advertised as suitable for 12v & 24v. Seems they look the same in Malaysia or UK.

Anyone actually measured the output voltages of these things? My car has constant 14v at the lighter socket.

By the way, Ericsson original cost RM200, and the cheap & cheerful cost RM25.

Even the Ericsson guy were not too happy about selling the cable to me - something to do with my car they say.
