Apparently it uses the same design. According the GSMarena anyway.

So if that is it then, im officially out of the iPhone market for another year. I can understand many are excited about the 4S, but im full of disappointment. Still Apple have not ticked any of the boxes i really want from a new phone. Keeping the screen size so small by todays flagship standards is a big mistake imo. Thats the one thing which has bugged me for some time about my N8 is how small the screen is to use when browsing the internet. I cannot believe they have not given the 4S proper Bluetooth, still no memory card support, not even NFC or LTE. Sure, those last two are new technologies which arent even in proper use in the UK where i live but it would have been nice to have the option.

Maybe Apple will be releasing another iPhone before the year is out ? or maybe another iPhone in the new year ?

Personally im now looking forward to HTC's event in a couple of days time and the Samsung event this time next week. Hopefully they'll bring us something new !!

In one word: disappointing
Nothing to make it stand out from the crowd in a big way
Metal back? Thinner? Bigger screen?
Better wait till next year or buy the SGS2

My thoughts entirely. I didnt expect anything from Apple really, it would have just been nice.

I seriously couldn't go back to anything under 4 inches screen size after using the Arc. I can't believe Apple didn't even change that. The iPhone must must really be at the back of the pack screen size, even the mid range smartphones have bigger screens, albeit the Retina screen is good.

It took them 15 months to upgrade the camera and the processor... seriously?

Btw, I wonder if they did use the Sony Exmor R sensor?

Disappointing also to see that the 16GB version will still be 499 unlocked, esp when the black SGS2 is 419 on Play. Come on Apple.

They've been too busy suing every Android manufacturer under the sun to have made any major changes I guess.

What I wonder is if we will continue see the same sort of hype and anticipation at stores that we saw for the 3GS and iPhone4.

Ive no idea but like julias said why do they go on about minor features for so long as though they invented them. Its to fill in time where otherwise they would fill it with innovation and new features.

They went on for what seemed like forever about the new 8mp camera, about how fast it can take pictures. Im not sure what sensor they use and to be honest im not intereste now, but really apart from party shots (when a xenon flash is more suitable anyway) who needs to take images so quickly with very little time between shots. We're not all going to be shooting pictures of animals in the wild like those wild squirrel images were demonstrated.

I dont understand the whole shot speed comparison versus other phones. If i want fast pictures, i just choose burst mode even if they're in a lower resolution.

I agree the hardware changes are not as many as last year, and I suppose thats why they called it the 4S and not the 5... much like they did with similar spec changes from 3G to 3GS, but I think you're missing the point if you think this is just a camera and processor upgrade.

Apart from combing GSM and CDMA to make it a world phone and upgrading to bluetooth 4.0 its a whole more more about the icloud/music match/Siri/wireless sync and integrating that all into iOS5.

So this year it is much more about usability and software based features than it is about hardware features. The processor power and camera changes just make these all the more slicker to use.

I won't be queing for it but I'll certinaly be online on Friday pre-ordering
