SanDisk starts to sell its very first 64GB microSDXC cards - priced at $220 a pop
With the rise of high-definition video recording, one of the obstacles that multimedia buffs tend to face is the amount of free storage available to them on their devices. Of course, some people like that they have the flexibility of off-loading content to their computers to free up some capacity, but some simply prefer keeping everything in one spot. As a result, storage is going to be a constant issue for some.
Needless to say, some people are probably more than content with 32GB microSD cards, especially when they seem sufficient enough to handle the needs of the most demanding users out there. However, if that’s simply not enough to satisfy your voracious appetite, then you might want to consider checking out SanDisk’s recently launched 64GB microSDXC card. Basically, this card is one blazing piece of technology as it features transfer speed of up to 30Mbps – and provides Class 6 performance.
Obviously, this news will bring joy to some people out there, but sadly, today’s cell phones won’t be able to accommodate it just yet. At best, they’re compatible with microSD cards up to 32GB in size. Still, you know this is something that’ll surely find its place among mobile devices down the line.
If you’re interested, the only place where you can nab one is through SanDisk’s web site for a whopping $219.99, which is the same cost as some of today’s high-end smartphones.

'bout time.
The SDXC have been in the talking, for awhile now.
Still there are no phones that supports the microSDXC yet?
Was looking for a USB-reader/writer last spring, but found non. (planned to use it as a fast USB-memory with the computer and a fullize card)
Interesting, my Canon SX210 camera, from 2009, supports fullsize SDXC cards, in the same slot as the SDHC-cards |

I actually believe that I could use one of these and for me that is where I would stop at with memory cards. If only Samsung would make their Galaxy tab 10.1 or the future ones with MicroSD cards that would make things sweet.
