Can anyone confirm whether the Photo light on the X10 can be used as a real flash ( lights up when the shutter is pressed) using a different camera software such as Camera 360 ??

Angel Camera allows such operation on our X10

Vignette also supports flash, but you need the beta version on 2.3, or version 2011.05.17.
It costs a few bucks, but I think itīs definitely worth the price.

I have a X10 Mini Pro running on Gingerbread 2.3.5 and Camera360 V2.5. The led light doesn't work with this C360 version. But with V2.0 it works ok.

I know, I know. That's why I said I have the Mini Pro. I was just pointing it out that the led light doesn't work using the C360 V2.5.
But if you want to use the led light as a torch, then you could get tons of app in the market. Just use the keyword torch.

Yes, works fine with Gingerbread, and it's free too. But don't expect it to perform like LED flash, it's still what it is- photo light
