I do not have access to a P800 yet (UK) but have been using the emulator and just have a couple of questions a P800 owner might answer.

1. When entering timed entries, a blue block shows up in the view to show the activity and if a couple of entries overlap, they show up black (for time clashes). If you enter an All Day Event, all the section turns black making the assumption that all the day is full. Is this the same on the P800? as I usually use All Day Events as reminders but they don't actually take up my time.

2. Do catagories sync. correctly with Outlook?

3. Outlook (as used with a pocket pc) have priorities as High, normal & low. Do these correspond with 1,2 & 3 on the P800

At this moment i can answer your first quesion, all day events show up as a continous verticle blue strip up the lefthand side of the callender page (covering the hour numbers).

OOps...Sorry that might not be right, as i`m using a yellow theme on mine & whats normally blue is yellow, the allday thing IS blue though but i`d have to see if it still was with the original theme, Sorry again but i only just realised.

@clm
The emulator is part of the free downloadable SDK (since last September). Effectively a P800 on your PC but without the multimedia bits.
@pachy
Not bothered about the colour, just that if you have an All Day Event set for the day, does it effectively block out the actual timed meetings for example making the assumption that you are busy with the All Day Event (a pocket PC differentiates between busy & free time so the All Day Event can be set as Free Time not blocking out the info in a week view).

Hope I'm making my self clear!

Its only in the day view that you get a black strip for overlapping events and if the events happen to be day long events then the strip shows up for the whole day. Other shorter events on the same say are listed but you can't see their colour.

In the week view it seems that if you have more than one day long event on one day then the colour for the first one entered takes preference. Other shorter events on the same day show up in their correct colour on top of the colour strip for the whole day event.

(There seems to be some inconsistency here as short events are behind day long event in the day view so you can't see their colour, but they are in front of day long events in the week view and you can see their colour)

In the month view assigned colours are not shown but day long events fill up a whole day square with light blue and if there are other shorter events on the same day then these show up as small darker blue dots in the same sqaure.

Obviously all of the colours I have mentioned are only true if you are using the standard Colorscm.dat file. If you have messed around with this then they could be different.

No options for busy or free periods then (as with PocketPC)?

Any other way to create a day type reminder that does not block out the bars? Or would you set an early no time entry instead of an All Day Event for reminders.

Just checked on my RevoPlus in its Busy View & Day View and All Day Events do not show bars which would block out the bars of actual timed appointments!

Looks like I will have to put a suggestion to SE for a future upgrade.

Could do, but I am used to seeing All Day events in a calendar view.

For example, I would store the holidays of my workers as All Day Events for example an All Day Event lasting 5 days. This is not time I am actually busy but on a P800, this would make the blocked view of daily appointments useless as I would not see the blocks of time.
