We have seen a huge price drop lately here in Norway too.

This phone was/is a flop! One kinda understands why Sony are reluctant to allow SE to use the Playstation brand.
Make one wonder whether they'll be a Play 2.

Price was far too high at release, hopefully the price drop should get people interested.

Not surprised to see this price drop its basically failed as a gaming phone and not taken off the way it should have done.The Xperia Play could have potentially been great but the hardware design has let it down in my opinion just looks like a cut and shut job between a bog standard gaming keyboard and a xperia neo a more unique uniform design would have been better and SE could have taken inspiration from the many brilliant concept designs floating around on esato and elsewhere. |

Considering BETTER graphics can be had on some other devices from what I seen anyway. At £499 on release it was way too high

You have to remember it's not long been launched in the US plus it is a niche phone so I wouldn't say it ever meant to sell as much as some of the big hitters out there.
It'll be interesting to see how it does over there.

Still not sure but the Acro is currently the best seller holding two out of the top ten places - outselling the Galaxy SII.
